"What a man 🤣🤣 get promoted and you’re so obsessed with Ashton all you can think to do is post about him. Must be mad to be so obsessed with Farage (who 90% of people don’t give a shit about anymore) that he occupies your brain constantly. I assume if the greens bring they’re deputy leader who celebrated October 7th down to Portman Road you’d be just as angry?"

Just to make it clear: I have no interest in a private debate with you over this.

However, what makes you so sure that 90% of people "don’t give a shit about anymore"?

In fact, if that is the case, it is very much the reason I continue to bang on about it. Why are 90% of fans happy to ignore it?

I would have not had any issue with Ashton had Farage simply been sent down to PR by Reform. He wasn't. He was invited, wined, dined and given free gifts. He was then give free reign to shoot promotional material. Further Ashton lied about this and then issued a dreadful non-apology for doing so.

Why do you feel so triggered to send me the above private message?

I'm not sure today is the day for this tbh

But that's just, like, my opinion, man.

Where does the DM begin and end ?

As for the 90% this, Greens that, the majority of the post is missing the point.

But a little editing might make it less ambiguous.

I respect that. It is the Ashton-inners trying to shut down the debate and always claiming it isn't the time, that I should organise a protest at a match instead, that no one cares, no one ever did, everyone else has moved on from it, etc, etc (often framed with a lot of personal abuse too) who I have issue with.

As a matter of interest, when do you suggest protests should be arranged for now?

So weird too that the whataboutery always brings up the Green Party. As if the only people annoyed must be Green Party supporters (or 'lefties').

Ashton made a big error of judgement. Annoyed (some) players, staff, and sponsors. Then lied. Then apologised for nothing. Then hid. He's been lucky that results have been more critical and favourable.

Add on top the sub-optimal transfer dealings and the very least this club and manager deserves is a higher caliber of business leadership.

Ashton out.

Poll: After the video, how do you feel?

I can't argue with your opinion man, far out! ( there's a saying made famous in the 1960's! ). Just been promoted again to the best league in world football and all some are concerned about is that loathsome subject of politics and politicians. Go get a life people.

That's not for me to say, nor something that I'm particularly inclined to discuss on a day of celebration.

(Not to say that my opinion has changed any, nor that anyone else should be following my lead, just that for today, at least, I choose to bask in the KMac's and the team's achievement).

There is plenty of time over the coming days and weeks to focus my attention where I feel it would matter (and I feel it would have more impact)

It is very notable.

I have challenged the Ashton-inners whether they would be happy if it had been Corbyn or Polanski.

They never reply.

It's not about politics - it's about being lied to and taken for fools.

It is also about politics, but that's a small part of it.

And please don't tell me to "go get a life", that's very insulting :)

I had very similar from him 30 mins or so ago - he's never met me, knows nothing about me or the 70+ years of my life, but an hour after we achieved a hard won promotion, his first thought is to DM me with all sorts of false assumptions & ludicrous takes.

If they want to DM again something that belongs in a thread instead, I will post it publically again. I am not interested in engaging in private discussions with someone I don't know.

Reform lot love to send a private message to try and silence/intimidate people. Common MO across social media.

Not really sure why we need to spoil today by entertaining talk about the fash on here. Hopefully Ashton is given his marching orders early enough that it doesn't affect the attempts to stay in the Prem.

I don’t think today’s the day, but just to clarify this is more about people sticking to their principles. Which is easy to do when there’s no consequences, but not so easy when you get singled out for it. The issue meant different things to different people; possibly if it was just about the politics it could have been put to bed. But the lying from the club has made that hard.

Ipswich town have been promoted 6 times in our history to the Premier League/first division. Comments like your’s are divisive and on all days aren’t going to achieve anything other than feeding into your own validation you receive on here when you post.

I note you complete missed the question regarding the anti semantic POS deputy leader of the greens, I’d love for you to explain to me why a party who’s deputy leader celebrated the October 7th attacks isn’t as disgusting as what Farage says/ does. ( he tweeted it very easy to look up on X)

The majority of the fans around me in the stadium I speak to, the ones I met in the hotel I stayed in last night and that I’ve seen not just on twtd but further afield have moved on. You might not believe this given how much time you spend on here but in the pub before the game, after and currently the one we’re sitting in now Ashton’s future hasn’t come up once, This is a day to celebrate and attention seeking posts from the likes of you on days like today when we should be supporting the team/ celebrating the team’s success don’t achieve anything asides from inflating you’re own ego from the attention you get every time you post the same thing after games.

No question Ashton lied to us and if he goes I won’t shed any tears, but to the majority of Ipswich fans today is a day of celebration. We haven’t had many over the last 40+ years and posters like you who continually look to score political victories online after games do nothing but continue to dived the fan base. Why not wait until tomorrow or Monday to post about Ashton and and his future. No doubt you and usual mob will be involved in a 10+ pager come Thursday/Friday once the local elections results have come in.

That’s all I’ve got to say on this thread feel free to DM.

You missed off the first two paragraphs of your full DM that you sent when I didn't respond to your first one and even gave me permission to share (thank you).

"In my capacity as a health professional, I genuinely believe you could do with someone qualified with some help. Have you ever been diagnosed with any psychological issues?

I’ll respond to your thread now. I won’t be posting the above or any of this as I don’t wish to embarrass you but the constant almost obsessive attitude you display towards Ashton/Farage isn’t normal, please consider getting help if you haven’t so already.
"

To respond: If you are genuinely a health professional, thank you for your analysis of my mental state. Do you tend to diagnose other mental conditions based on online posting too?

"yours" does not need an apostrophe. I wonder what level of mental health qualifications you possess but frankly I don't care just as it is none of your business to know my own mental health condition. My comments are divisive but the chairman/CEO's behaviour is not? I don't receive validation when I post on here. I receive a lot of abuse from right wing extremists like you instead.

I didn't miss the question at all, as you would have realised when I asked you whether you would have been OK if it had been Corbyn or Polanski instead of Farage who was platformed. You ignored that. It smacks of hypocrisy from you. It is your attempt at deflecting from the issue. I have made it clear why I am disgusted with Ashton and the inaction of the club. You are the one justifying it by suggesting at least it wasn't the Green Party deputy leader instead.

Please explain why you are so sure the majority of fans have moved on. You have asked them about it? Or you are assuming they have? As I have explained, even if they have it doesn't justify or excuse Ashton's behaviour and, in fact, only highlights how important it is to continue to highlight it so that fans don't just ignore it. You seem to suggest Ashton's future doesn't come up which suggests to me you haven't actually asked their opinions on the matter but rather assumed their thoughts for them. As a mental health professional you will know how unwise that is.

My post isn't attention seeking. You and a few others are responding and giving it attention. That's your choice. You didn't have to. It isn't my ego being inflated being told by you that I am mentally ill or by waveney that I am pathetic and mentally incapable of moving on.

I am not looking to score political victories at all. I made a point and that would have been it but you keep choosing to respond. If you don't I will leave it. But if you do I will respond to any points you make.

I am sorry that Ashton's position causes you some distress and detracts from your enjoyment of the club's success. That is a position many of us share.

I won't DM. I don't know you and if I have anything to say to you it will be in public on here. I would appreciate it if you ceased DMing too. It is unsolicited and I will report it to Phil if it continues.

Oh, and also Southey, as a mental health professional, is it your usual first action upon diagnosing someone with a condition to send them a message saying "what a man 🤣🤣..." that doesn't seem a very professional way to act to me. And it's "their" leader not "they're". I am guessing your mental health qualification isn't at degree level is it?
