| Hull should be automatically promoted. on 19:48 - May 19 by Ftnfwest | Agree, boro rightly protested before the semi, played it anyway and should have won tbf, lost it and went back to protesting the rules. Just seems like having it both ways and getting through regardless. |
Their fanbase has also been slating us for 2 months accusing us of everything under the sun and ignoring their own terrible form. Pray for Hull City to win.

| Hull should be automatically promoted. on 20:01 - May 19 by Bellevue_Blue | Unfortunately causing ill-will or emotional instability is not much of a legal standing. According to the EFL law, they should be punished for watching Boro in the window 72 hours prior to the first game. I'm not how you can carry that over to the second leg where Boro would have had the opportunity to do all tactical work on Sunday and Monday. I find the cheating equally as uncomfortable as you but I don't see why Boro should benefit from the ruling. What is our reward for being spied on? Oxford's? They should either play the second leg again after ruling the first leg in favour of Boro or Hull should just be promoted. |
Nonsensical. As if the first leg somehow didnt count?

No you'd rule it in Boro's favour so 3-0. No different to match abandoned. [Post edited 19 May 20:07]

Well yes but you'd have to replay the second leg if you changed the key match conditions. That is not what has happened, they've been completely expelled. They've not ruled that.

| Hull should be automatically promoted. on 19:15 - May 19 by Bellevue_Blue | I'm in agreement. They cheated and it was wrong but they technically (according to the 72 hour rule) only cheated for the first leg. Southampton won the second leg fair and square so legally I'm not quite sure how you just discount that totally. |
technically they also cheated for our game and Oxford United, whilst they lost the oxford game, they drew with us, which gave them a point, that meant they finished 4th with home advantage for the 2nd leg. thats quite a significant advantage in terms of how they then won that game with the crowd behind them. so yeah you have to say both semi finals were disrupted by spygate, meaning the games have to be null & voided and Boro get a bye into the final as a result. just as if an ineligible player was fielded I bet Millwall are spitting feathers about it, but theres nothing in the rules that allows for them to be boosted to the final. Im also surprised if this is all there is to it, seems awfully sudden to start doing that kind of thing. so youd hope Southampton have fessed up completely to , but PO final is worth 220+million now to the winner, which is why theyll pursue every legal option they can to overturn the ruling | | | | Login to get fewer ads

And who’s fault would that be for asking for more time to make their case for why they brazenly cheated, thus delaying any decision until after the second leg?
