Got both my kids the England shirt on DH Gate, absolutely no chance I'm paying £70 a piece from Sports Direct for them. They're pretty much identical to the official ones, certainly to the naked eye. Its greed really, were they £40 a pop I would've just bought the official ones. |

funnily enough maybe thats just what the rate of inflation on them has been of late.
Coventry are charging 70 quid for theirs, and 90 for the "pro" version. a trick the relegated West Ham are also doing where they want 75 for the standard, but 110 !!!! for the "elite" version.

Are they the same prices throughout the 4 leagues? Or the more successful you become the more the shirts cost ? |
I don’t think the prices go down much as you go down the leagues. ( e.g Colchester £55 last season, I think I’m right in saying.) The sponsors get more fun the lower you get. I wonder what level of the pyramid is the lowest where every club has a readily available replica shirt. |  | | |

30 odd years ago I used to buy a shirt in the end of season sale if I could afford it, which was not always. This due to having to look after a disabled wife and having children to raise. I still cherish the red and black away shirt I got after the season ended which was my first. It meant so much to me. I still wear it.
Now. One of said children, buys me a new shirt every year for my birthday. I get the away kit for Christmas.
