| Shirt Prices on 16:10 - Jul 3 by _CliveBaker_ | Got both my kids the England shirt on DH Gate, absolutely no chance I'm paying £70 a piece from Sports Direct for them. They're pretty much identical to the official ones, certainly to the naked eye. Its greed really, were they £40 a pop I would've just bought the official ones. |
I do exactly the same not paying silly money or been ripped off on football shirts.

We'll get there sooner rather than later. The £95 clubs have just had a longer run-up when it comes to increasing the prices little by little.

Interesting about that particular site is that the 'Fake' kit is available on there. As is a grey and pink round necked kit. I wonder if the club has put out fakes to confuse that market?

The legit ones are on there now as well. The other ones have just been taken from the leaks that appeared over the last couple of days. Interesting point regarding the leaks perhaps having come from the club though.

Maybe. I'd definitely not buy one from there tonight. I'd leave it at least a few wweeks if not a month. People who say "the club are losing money" are not really because most people won't have bought the shirt at £70. ALso, shirt sales, i'm sure they don't see much profit. It would be Umbro who get the majority of the profit.

Yeah, definitely give it a few weeks for the quality to improve.

| Shirt Prices on 15:23 - Jul 3 by RetroBlue | Rip off prices by all clubs tbh, considering they cost about £10 to make. |
£10? More like £3, they're made in China. Although to be fair I've seen people stupidly pay near £100 for a pair of Levi jeans which cost less than £5 to make.
| Shirt Prices on 22:25 - Jul 3 with 167 views | stonojnr | funnily enough maybe thats just what the rate of inflation on them has been of late. Coventry are charging 70 quid for theirs, and 90 for the "pro" version. a trick the relegated West Ham are also doing where they want 75 for the standard, but 110 !!!! for the "elite" version. 110 quid for a football shirt in the championship. let that sink in. so £65 is pretty reasonable as it goes, even Hulls are at 64. | | | |

| Shirt Prices on 15:37 - Jul 3 by Benters | People will buy them they must have the latest shirt. Are they the same prices throughout the 4 leagues? Or the more successful you become the more the shirts cost ? |
I don’t think the prices go down much as you go down the leagues. ( e.g Colchester £55 last season, I think I’m right in saying.) The sponsors get more fun the lower you get. I wonder what level of the pyramid is the lowest where every club has a readily available replica shirt.
| Shirt Prices on 14:40 - Jul 4 with 5 views | flykickingbybgunn | 30 odd years ago I used to buy a shirt in the end of season sale if I could afford it, which was not always. This due to having to look after a disabled wife and having children to raise. I still cherish the red and black away shirt I got after the season ended which was my first. It meant so much to me. I still wear it. Now. One of said children, buys me a new shirt every year for my birthday. I get the away kit for Christmas. Things change. Things always change. | | | |
