Can’t see him staying. Clearly an issue with him, hence why we tried to offload him on a permanent. MA will be aware of the situation. We also already have a bloated squad, so will no doubt need to cut back to make way for quite a few additions. Can’t see SS staying. | | | |

From a purely footballing perspective, & presuming he is over his injury issues, I could see him having a part to play in a GO'N team in the Premier League.
There is plenty of speculation that we will go either 3 at the back or 3 in midfield this season, resulting in one less forward, so possibly a pair of #10's behind the centre forward, as opposed to the 4-2-3-1 formation, narrower space which really didn't suit him.
However, if the rumours over what apparently occurred with a teammate are to be believed, it is very unlikely that he will play for us again. | |

If you read everything that's been written and what O'Neil has said himself, his preferred formation is 4-2-3-1 but that he will change that depending on the opposition.
He might have a role to play and the friendlies will tell us a lot, but we do need players in, and that will mean players going out, and there is interest in him from Championship clubs. Honestly, we need better than Szmodic. | |
