That's an excellent signing for them.

Poll: FM Parallel Game Week 1 (Fulham) - Available Team

Great move for both parties.

Chappers should smash it in league one

Poll: Will Paul Lambert be Ipswich Town manager on the final day of this season ?

I can't quite believe after everything he has achieved he's back in League 1, all be it the very very top.

When I compare him with someone like Wes, I honestly don't think there is much difference in their abilities.

Maybe the no 10 role is just that much more competitive across the board.

Terrible move. Playing under Russell Martin after mighty Kieran McKenna. A massive retrograde step.

I wish him all the best of course.

Playing under Russell Martin should suit a canny #10 in League 1, the problems for Leicester will come later.

Poll: If we go up, which new striker would you like us to sign?

Have to remember he came here off the back of a Championship play-off season with Barnsley. He's in the same sort of boat now. Can be a bit part Championship player or one of the main men at an ambitious L1 side. Imagine it'll be a 3-year deal on Championship money anyway.

He will do well at Leicester, especially in League 1. Reasonably smart move for him and the club.

He was playing in the PL 2 seasons ago, has a list of awards as long as my arm for best player, highest goalscorer plus he is only 29.

League one seems a step down, Leicester set up or not.

Still, we wish him well, gave me (hopefully us) some of our best Ipswich Town memories ever.

The difference with Wes is blindingly obvious.

One is small, technical and not very quick.

The other is quite well built, powerful and really quick.

Not hard to see why Wes is having another stab at the PL and Chappers is back in the EFL.

He was bloody quick across the pitch the night he dived on Sarmiento after he scored against saints, iconic moment

What an evening that was, top 2 or 3 games I have seen for Town in 40 years.

And with a coat on that was way too big for him!

Every coat is way too big for him. That was an extra small.
Definite Info.

Always remember him standing with the rest of the team for a minutes applause around the centre circle, seeing his height against the rest of the team and thinking, "that looks ridiculous"

Agreed. A great move for both of them.

Good player, terrific attitude. I’m very surprised Portsmouth binned him out though.

Didn’t utilise him properly and don’t think. Agreed this is a great move - big club at a level he’s too good for…bit like when he joined us! Only difference is he’s got to work under a managerial fraud, suspect the vegan will be gone by Christmas though!

Floppy haired fraud will be gone when they realise he's pretty rubbish. To think a couple of years ago we were toe to toe with Leicester and now they are signing players who wont get in our first team.

Good luck to him - he'll always be an important part of our history
