Has Zack Polanski gone too far?

A simple yes or no will suffice.

Sometimes I think about the frothing lunatics I’ve put on ignore, who will have kept replying to me again and again, but I don’t even realise they exist.

I'm looking for equal treatment of idiots whatever side of the argument.

No mention of here today of the failed asylum seeker who took a hammer, a knife and a litre of petrol of school to get Home Office’s attention... Of course bloody not.

But you want them arrested so equal treatment would mean that Farage should be arrested.

So you don't really want equal treatment at all.

"No mention of here today of the failed asylum seeker who took a hammer, a knife and a litre of petrol of school to get Home Office’s attention... Of course bloody not."

Not seen anything about it. If you want to discuss it why not make a thread rather than make weird accusations about other posters ignoring things.

I didn't say I didn't want Farage arrested did I? So don't try and twist what I said. Again, I want equal treatment so if Farage has done equal then he should get equal treatment. There has been high profile cases of people being arrested for 'inciting violence' and in some cases imprisoned. So can you tell me why Polanski hasn't?

Of course you haven't seen it, too busy scraping round for anti farage stuff.

However hilarious you find it. Today has proven we really are living in a two-tier Britain. If your messiah Polanski isn't arrested then the tramp who wore the t-shirt should be investigated for inciting violence. What you would call 'right-wingers' have actually been imprisoned for the same 'crime'

“Simon Evans shared (and later deleted) a Facebook post containing the text "You dozy cow, you should be shot" alongside an image of Natalie Fleet and a fake misattributed quote about voting against a grooming gang inquiry.

Evans’s apology explanation that he "did not notice the accompanying text" and that the violent text was created by an "unknown user" (as described in the article) accurately reflects what was posted on his Facebook account and the provenance of the post text.

Reform UK investigated the post, deemed it an "honest mistake", and decided not to take any action…”

What are the two tiers?

Reform report some social media to the Police, and some they decide to handle in-house, and some they use with the US Government as examples of free speech being curtailed.

Are those some the tiers?

Why on earth are you talking about Reform's internal investigation? It's irrelevant. The point is the Met Police found no criminal offence. That's the decision I'm talking about, not what Reform did internally.

Unfortunately, you haven't disappointed, as usual.

So you've got better things to do but insisted on mentioning it in a thread?

I suspect the reason you don't want to post it as after a quick search I managed to find it and the school was completely empty and there was no threat to anyone. He's been sent to jail for carrying weapons though so everyone is safe. I suspect your online echo-chamber didn't fully fill you in on the details.

Who exactly are we showing "suicidal empathy" to?

Some pretty weird and obscure stuff from you this evening.

Because Reform were aware of a social media message saying an MP should be shot.

The didn’t report it to the police.

Is that an example of a tiered re-action?

Have you actually read anything about the case?

Fairly clear my post meant no threat to anyone in an empty school he was walking around. You emphasised the school in your first post but of course failed to mention it was empty. Pretty obvious selective reporting in an attempt to make some point. You've spent a lot of time mentioning this event but you've still not spent the 60 seconds it would take to post the article so everyone can see the exact details rather than your edited version.

From your posting this evening, it's fairly clear where you stand and what you're attempting to do so I will leave it there.

All fans of The Wonderstuff are currently hiding their Astley T shirts for fear of arrest over historically inciting violence against 1980s pop stars.

Two references to "The failed asylum seeker".
Can't think why that element of the story is so relevant.

You seem to have had a nightmare on this one - I’m not surprised you’re giving up on it. What’s really noticeable is you’re not the first poster on this thread to rail against violence, Islam, foreigners etc but be aggressive or selective with facts. Let alone twisting what others have said.

This is the interesting and main problem with the far right narrative leaking into the mainstream, it’s all grievance and mental gymnastics.

What was really noticeable was that he did this last August- because he felt his asylum claim wasn’t being processed and he was getting no help. He wanted to get arrested and “cause a scene”. I wonder why you chose to leave that out as the expert on this story people missed and you wanted to raise attention to.

That sounds horrific, and a jail or expedited deportation offence. (edit. Ooh: I've taken the bait a bit again, silly me. I should have had a 'proper gander' first.)

But your raging anger about a mistake reposting someone else's partially offensive tweet and a nasty, offensive 'tramp' is perhaps a teensy-weensy bit overacted?

Because Polanski didn’t make the threat. The person who wore the T-shirt is possibly going to face charges because the Met have referred a crime report to Avon and Somerset Police, as the picture and possible offence took place in Bristol.

Laughable. There is zero aggression here. I genuinely couldn't be calmer. A nightmare? Absolutely not. Someone who differs from your opinion? Clearly, yes.

I also love the reference to 'mental gymnastics', when there's a gaggle of wildly left-wing people on this forum who'd give the Gadirovas and Max Whitlock a run for their money on the floor, all in the pursuit of maintaining their position as 'good people'.

In this thread alone I've read people argue that a man carrying a knife, a hammer and petrol wasn't really a concern because:

1. It was the summer holidays.
2. He only wanted to cause a scene.
3. He wasn't getting any help with his asylum claim.

I haven't left any facts out. I simply don't think any of the above changes anything. To most normal people, it wouldn't either.

Anyway, I really must get on. I've made the same mistake I made before by going against the grain on this forum. I don't know why I do it to myself sometimes, it's a really odd little place.

Well you did leave all of those things out, because you didn’t think that facts make a difference. That’s a problem and huge weakness on your part as loads of others have demonstrated to you.

Interesting you dehumanise posters into a bloc on here because you’ve made a fool of yourself too. Your tone throughout last night and now is arsey and irritable. It’s very clear and telling. There’s a whole gamut of views and beliefs across the collection of people who have tried to engage with you.

The idea that correcting you means defending the man in question is the main problem people like you have. Everything is adversarial and binary. You aren’t capable of discussing something because all you want is agreement or the chance to be a victim.

I get you’re embarrassed now and trying to deflect from that, but you really need to learn how to present stuff better and engage with it if you don’t want this to keep happening. No wonder Farage et al has such an easy time of it when this is the type of stuff being bandied about.
