We'll see but I think a few might be surprised. They're decent players at championship level, more than decent. Depends on injuries impact and wages, but a few million isn't much now, and 'lucky to get anything' etc are just being silly. Clearly have been far from perfect signings, but we're bought with an eye on the prem, so championship should still be well within their skills. | | | |

This comes up many times. Ogbene did really well at the Blunts when he arrived - played in every game, and started all but one, until the international break in November when he was injured. He was also regularly one of their best rated players during that time.
He then had a two+ month layoff, and when he came back there was a new manager, with a new system in place that didn't suit him so well. It was very unfortunate for Ogbene, but your characterisation of the situation is too simplistic. Anyone watching him for the RoI in the late 2025 / early 2026 would have understood what he could bring for us. | | | |

I guess we would want to get both wages off the books and both are likely to be on good money.
The fee being stated for SS seems like a decent deal. If we can get £3M up front - great.
Ogbene is likely to be a tougher deal to do. With his wages and contract length still remaining. But don’t agree with those who say we should keep him. At least three ahead of him. | | | |
