How can you tell when 3 of them weren't playing and Matusiwa was injured and not playing?
That would mean 14 new signings I believe.
I agree we need more but 9 seems a bit heavy.

Don't read too much into pre season. Only have to go back to the last one to confirm that. Most seem to think we were excellent and would easily get the auto's. We know how that turned out, in the first month or so especially. Made it because of a Boro meltdown only. I've been around for more than long enough to have witnessed quite a number of poor pre seasons and then hit the ground running in the actual season, and also the opposite. Lot's of incomings and outgoings still to happen, impossible to judge anything at this point. |  | | |

Why should we?
1) they’re a decent side in the main anyway - spent the last 6 years in the top division in Spain with respectable finishes in each of the seasons, whilst we’ve ambled around League 1 and the Championship in that time.

I know wes has signed a new deal. Doesnt mean oneil will keep him. It also means we could get a little bit of cash instead of him leaving on a free.

Burns could have left for free, earning himself a decent signing on bonus and a decent length contract. He wouldn't have signed a one year deal here to allow the manager to see if he likes him or not. | | | |

I must admit that signing Wes was a strange decision. I could understand it had KM stayed but GON could have used that squad place.
Wes is a Tiwn legend but he’s another year older and has a very ooor injury record. I’m nit sure he’ll be here in January, although I would love to to be proved wrong.
If Fatuwa is a starte then I’d prefer McAteer as the 15 minute at the end option. |  |

I don't read anything into pre-season. We have had one's where we are brilliant. Hirst scores several goals and everything in the garden is rosy. The season starts and we stutter, the strikers don't score and the defence is a bit of a shambles.
We take until Christmas to form any sort of a team and so it goes.
We have to believe that this bunch are better than the ones in our previous Premier league foray and we are. | | | |
