| Florentino Luis on 15:13 - Aug 2 with 2050 views | Kropotkin123 | I don't know too much about Florentino Luis. Sounds like competition for Matusiwa, rather than alongside him. Is that fair? EDIT: Sorry, I should read the replies before posting. [Post edited 2 Aug 15:15]

| Florentino Luis on 21:49 - Aug 1 by burnbudgiesburn | This might be us. Not one i'm over excited about mainly due to Burnley fans comments about him. You don't get to play for Benfica as CDM for a few years if you are total gash however. |
Have you an uppie just for using the word gash!

Linked but all indications saying no. I think we will be announcing this as a soon as tomorrow from what I’ve heard. They’re getting Jordan James I think, which should have the same outcome in terms of dominos falling.

Luis has played same amount of pre season as Azor, so neither likely fully fit for Sunderland. Still need the 2 CMs to work alongside / challenge Azor for the season

| Florentino Luis on 19:19 - Aug 2 with 941 views | Devereuxxx | Can't say i've ever seen him play, don't recall watching a single Burnley game last season. If you'd had told me they were playing in my front garden i'd have probably shut the curtains. We need 4 PL standard CMs, and if it's Matusiwa, Florentino, + 2 others then I'm fine with it. We suffered last season as we didn't have a Matusiwa replacement. And there will be plenty of games where we need two proper DMs anchoring our midfield. A little pricey, but that's the market we're in at the moment - deals so far have been on the cheaper side so hopefully that gives us room to spend a bit more in the CM department. | | | |

Now that would be good! But zero chance he’d leave west ham for us!

Burnley probably accepting a loss on the fee to get wages off the books. I wonder if there are add-ons involved which would bring it closer to what they've paid - such as if we stay up etc.

What a silly deal for Burnley in the first place. I've been reading they have lots of debt so you're probably right on the wages. They would be daft not to try and put add ons in if we stay up so that's probably the case too.

No get out clause with relegation is wild and a quick fire way to dent your parachute payments. Guess there was some kind of reason.
