Im not too keen on the fee tbh and dont want to be that guy who says "SIGN A MIDFIELDER" and then moans about the one we sign.
But im just not sure how good he is. Hasn't looked convincing at all anywhere other than Benfica and worry about his lack of athleticism to an already not very athletic midfield. | |

Ive watched a lot of him going back to Benfica and I think he has aspects of his game I really like but I do just have some reservations.
I would imagine he is coming in to replace/alternate with Matusiwa and I can get on board with that I think. I would be really worried to see them playing together just due to the lack of mobility in that midfield. | |

I'd be up for it, he does the not so sexy stuff in a team so doesn't set the pulses racing. But has a lot of champions league experience.
My one issue is the potential fee. If we pay the same as Burnley paid Benfica then that's a £20m signing.
All our £20m+ signings have tended to be aged 22-23 max so we have good resell value. This guy will be 27 at the start of the season. | | | |
