Thought he looked pretty slight in the picture on Phil's story, but apparently he is 6ft tall and according to Wikipedia:
Jimmy De Wulf, Cercle Brugge's assistant manager described Ueda as a 'complete striker'. He has a strong finishing ability alongside a combination of pace, agility and above average jumping ability and strength given his smaller stature.[81]
I am now completely reassured and think we should blow £30m on him.

His goalscoring record is pretty good also good for Japan. I'd rather this than a Troy Parrot type probably similar transfer fee.
Posted about him on here last week I think it was, I will jizzle if we sign Ayase Ueda.
Everything you want as a number 9, physical, strong back to goal, off the shoulder, link up play, brilliant finisher, scores all types of goals.
Pay them what they want, get it done.
Hopefully he has a strong desire to play in the PL and pushes for the move. Having Maeda here can only be beneficial too. Would be a fantastic signing.
It’s all a bit exhausting, isn’t it? The endless rumours and maybes. Necessary, obviously, but not particularly enjoyable.
Not great, is it? I remember when a £500k signing was genuinely exciting. Now we're rotating half the squad every summer and spending £200m in the process. I think I've just become hedonically adapted to it.

Yeah. Bring back Oli Hawkins....
Give your heads a wobble! We're in the market for some of the best talent in the world right now.

It’s not as exciting. The soaring values have ironically devalued it a bit. I loved when a 2.2 million fee was exciting.
We’ve just sold Baggot for about what we bought Marcus Stewart for.

Some of the fees are wild. The best ones are the players who get signed by someone in Europe for about 90 quid and sold 9 months later for 40 million, after 19 appearances and 6 goals.
I meant how blase it is. Don't get me wrong I wouldn't swap it.
I was thinking the other day how weird it must be as a Brighton fan seeing unknowns rock up from all over the world knowing they are going out on loan and you can't get excited about them for at least another 1-2 years.
Can't wait to see those 2 lads in Takayama tucking away a few pints of Asahi and Sashimi rolls.
Funny you say that, Maeda was apparently in the Japanese place opposite the Regent last night with another Japanese footballer. Could it have been Ueda?!
