Edamame beans: Nice or fit for rats 14:14 - Aug 5 with 1141 viewsCheltenham_Blue

I wouldn't eat a bowl of them, but they are tolerable, but Mrs C hates them.

Then again she also detests Red Kidney, Broad and Butter beans, so maybe its a 'her' problem

I like them roasted and salted as a snack. Good alternative to nuts.

Other than that, no.

I think they are great. Nice addition to a rice bowl.

They are excellent, although rank far behind wasabi peas in the ‘small side sacks sold in Japanese grab and go high street shops’ stakes

Highlighting crass stupidity since sometime around 2010

I like the Russian roulette approach of wasabi peas.

All nicely warming, but every now and then you have one that melts your sinuses.

I was born underwater, I dried out in the sun. I started humping volcanoes baby, when I was too young.

Fine. But I find them impossible to grow on my allotment. My missus loves them.

They contain more fibre per ounce than just about any other vegetable. For that reason alone, they are very good for your gut health.

Unhalfbricking

Ok in a salad thing. They’re not something I’ve ever sat down to a bowl of either, if that’s even a thing.

It's only her problem in the sense that if you would stop blowing off on the job, she'd be delighted to have them in the family diet.

Top tier food. Healthy and goes with lots of things. Particularly good with rice/noodles.

I've recently been buying them, don't like them, but they're good for you so will eat them with other things.

See also; tomatoes, bananas.

Tomatoes and bananas are lush. What’s the matter with you? You freak.
Although, not together and one is better with salt, (not the banana)

A thinly sliced vine tomato with Maldon's salt is fine in a burger* and a banana has its part to play in a smoothie. Cooked tomatoes are a different beast, or course.

*preferably a plant burger, I appreciate others have alternative diets.
