| Hirst & Clarke off on 10:44 - Aug 6 with 4259 views | urbanpenguin | James Hokery on twitter (ive never heard of him) by bluesym 6 Aug 9:55Is reporting Stoke have agreed a deal for Hirst and Harry Clarke.
He has less than 300 followers, but a Google search suggests he is a genuine journalist...so not sure if this is pinch of salt territory or not.

| Hirst & Clarke off on 11:23 - Aug 6 with 3384 views | ParisBlue | Stoke are a mad club, but even by their standards, they gone spending mad this summer. Ethan Galbreith for £10m for example. Not finished in top half of the Championship since they were relegated in 17/18. Decent servants for us, but £13.5m for the two of them is a good deal for us. | |

It would be very silly to allow it if it wasn't the case...

| Hirst & Clarke off on 11:32 - Aug 6 with 3155 views | ringwoodblue | Surprised Hirst is going. Rate him much more highly than Akpom. We still have AAH as his move to that Polish club seems like it’s not happening now. | |

The trouble with Hirst is his lack of pace, on Tuesday night he was played through and you knew he just did not have the pace to break away from the defence, something we saw him struggle with on more than one occasion last season. It worked under the McKenna system but GON prefers more pace across his whole team, including up front.

Galbraith is a very very good footballer to be fair, it's a bit top heavy but I don't think £10m is horrendous for him. Stoke are unique club that they are backed by locals who genuinely are invested in the club, and have deep deep pockets. Rare at the top end of the pyramid these days.

Seems to me that the lack of pace has often been our undoing when the passing game didn't find a way through. It's perhaps the single most obvious trait that is coming through in GON's signing and style of play. On Tuesday the speed of passing and general play was noticeable at times.
