It was dark humour but I assumed it was a sarcastic take on the OPs in the two Tim Curry threads, one of which included "Dolly and now Tim Curry", and the other "icons falling". It was certainly that context that made me laugh but maybe I was overthinking things.
I went to a school where sarcasm was the order of the day, and I remember the following saying being banded about there, which I now realise comes from Oscar Wilde.
"Sarcasm is the lowest form of wit, but the highest form of intelligence."

Yeah, this sort of dark humour's not going to work for someone who's familiar with the evil of that c***. I completely understand that.
I do think we're better laughing at evil than fearing it, but again that must only work for those of us who haven't suffered it at the sharp end. I can't imagine what the horrors were like and what people went through who were involved in those awful times.

The evils in Yugoslavia were incredible, just 50 years or so after the end of WW2.
But laughing at some of the sarcasm and making a humorous point is often a coping mechanism, with absolutely no malice of forethought.
