Will be interesting to see how they're compared to environmental groups who did the same and who mainly showed their faces. Were anti terror laws used against them in the end? Weren't there calls by certain sections on the right to run them over?

Let's wait and see.

I've asked you a number of times to not reply to me. Not entirely sure why you keep doing it as I have no intention of interacting with your biased, virtue signalling and disingenuous narratives.

Your double standards on here are incredible, barely anyone takes you seriously anymore.

Please stop replying to me and expecting me in any way to take your posts seriously.

SB

I'll reply to who the hell I want. It's a public forum. If you don't want to see my replies then put me on ignore.

And whilst you are reading my reply, let me make this very clear: I think you are a rank hypocrite. You call out other posters for being inconsistent in who they condemn yet don't practice what you preach.

So for clarity, you believe that the men pulling that poor woman's hair are "total scum". I agree. Do you believe that the Palestinian Action bloke who broke a female police officer's back with a sledgehammer is "total scum"? Or the bloke who punched a female police officer at Manchester airport?

Sometimes I think about the frothing lunatics I’ve put on ignore, who will have kept replying to me again and again, but I don’t even realise they exist.

the right wing were very quick to call for palestine action to be proscribed.

this lot are far more damaging, threatening and terrorist-like in their actions and appearance. yet not a peep from the right wingers

As unpleasant as they ate, there were no arrests today. No police officers had bones broken and no breaking into military facilities causing damage to British military hardware.

I don’t think the number of arrests are relevant. What are they protesting? Why are there faces covered? What would their ideal country look like?

They’re scum, picking on the weakest people imaginable. I hate bullies, so I hate these c@@ts.

If I put you on ignore then I can't see when you're posting disingenuous nonsense so I won't be doing that.

Thanks for your constructive criticism, I'll take it on board. I'll also issue some myself if that's OK with you. I think you're one of the biggest issues on this forum, I think you should never have been allowed back after your ban and I think you spend most of your time stirring and attempting to cause arguments. Seems a waste of time to me but if you get some fulfilment from it then good for you.

Not responding to every thread seems to mean you support things withing that thread. Given that I will assume that you agree with the statements last week on the forceful repatriation of Palestinians to other countries or the survey showing 40+% wanted them killed. I don't actually believe that but we're using your logical constructs so that is the conclusion one must come to.

As for your questions, I'll humour you and reply: Yes, the instances you've highlighted are awful and those are awful people. Not sure why you would think I didn't think that.

In my view your everything that is wrong with the forum, a long term poster looking to constantly start arguments and score points based on historic grievances. You didn't have to wade into this thread in the way you did, you could have condemned the actions and moved on but instead you used it as an opportunity to attack me. It's pathetic and childish. Are you proud of yourself?

Enjoy your evening.

You have zero sense of self awareness. You waded in first trying to cause arguments with this comment:

"Was a very vocal element on this forum laying into the Just Stop Oil protesters. Hard to see how this is any different at all yet they are all remarkably quiet about it.

I'm sure they are just busy on a Saturday which is understandable and they will be along later to condemn the actions as disgraceful and to point out they might be blocking ambulances and suchlike.

If you think it's baiting I think you should report it to admin as that's not allowed.

Still nothing from that element so given that I think the post was accurate and fair. When just stop oil did similar it was 5+ pages on multiple occasions.

I have nothing more to say to you, I stand by my post, you're the issue, not everyone else.

I'll not be responding to you any further.

Why do you think no arrests were made? Just in the last week 24 environmental protestors were arrested for blocking a road in London. Why the disparity do you reckon?

Probably because the police were taken by surprise and did not initially have the resources in place, especially for a group far more likely to be aggressive if challenged.

Hi Everyone,

I was out playing in a charity cricket match, pretty much all day! the local MP came down, Victoria sponge and all very pleasant.

Seems like there has been a story.

I think everyone needs to just take a step back and not take everything so personally.

I like GB, despite the fact I know he’s provocative, has the opposite political opinions to me, and likes Genesis (the latter being the worst).

You can more than hold your own in a debate, don’t let it get under your skin.

It's not about having a pop at individual posters (not from me anyway), so don't take it all personally, but the silence from the usually very vocal right wingers after these recent events is quite telling.

People like you and Balcombe usually do comment on most political threads in fairness.

I logged in at 4.45 ish to comment on the Coventry game, having been at my son's new flat painting. At 5.03 I condemned the knuckle draggers at Dover. Sorry I wasn't quicker. Before that I posted at breakfast to defend Jacob Greaves.

Other than the period we were playing Liverpool last night I am barely posting on here.

3 pots on Thursday, 2 on Wednesday, 5 on transfer deadline day, and a scattering of posts about the Man U game which I was at hence the reason very little from me on Sunday. So a handful of posts in a week.

Somebody messaged me last week to ask if I was ok because I was hardly posting. My reason, crap like this about posting on demand. Particularly from one sad bastard who for the sake of peace and harmony, shall remain nameless.

But as you raise this point "but the silence from the usually very vocal right wingers after these recent events is quite telling". Something I used to say similar about left leaning posters during the spate of Jew hate and holocaust denial during the Corbyn years. People who were quick to condemn racism from the right but absolutely silent when it came from the left.

Not a pop at you btw.

What’s the fringe like? Edinburgh is one of the best cities I’ve ever been to, just wondering if it’s worth the inflated cost to go then?

We went twice a week for the month. The weather was good which helps so good for outside bars in places like Underbelly. It's just a 40 minute train journey for us so not expensive and there are a lot of acts in small venues. They can be hit or miss and a lot are pay what you think they are worth. So if you avoid the big acts it's affordable. That said, some of the big act use the fringe to test out new material which is good to see. Plenty of street entertainment as you walk about. And a really friendly atmosphere.
