| Not the most difficult away fixture tomorrow 09:29 - Sep 18 with 1981 views | muccletonjoe | But they have very good players, abundantly obvious that it wont be easy to collect 3 points, expecting a few goals and if we get one point from it , then most of us would take that here and now. 7 points from part one , is survival mode , and i think we can claim that this team will improve as the season progresses, a 3 week break is a long gap, and we just have to hope everyone returns injury free, also gives us time to get a few players upto full fitness. | | | | |
| Not the most difficult away fixture tomorrow on 09:36 - Sep 18 with 1930 views | TRUE_BLUE123 | Very solid team. Spine of Tarkowski and Branthwaite then Dewsbury Hall and Garner in midfield is tough to play against. The attack is slightly more unproven though Tyrique George certainly has something. We have shown we can hurt teams though. I will go for a 1-1 draw. | |

| Not the most difficult away fixture tomorrow on 09:36 - Sep 18 with 1931 views | SomethingBlue | Moyes is capable of doing a number on anyone, a point would be a tremendous result and a defeat wouldn't really take away from our decent start. | |

| Not the most difficult away fixture tomorrow on 10:16 - Sep 18 with 1787 views | _CliveBaker_ | They're a tough nut. Only conceded 3 in their 6 games so far this season, 2 of which to Man United. Classic David Moyes side, well organised, you know what you're going to get. Their home form wasn't particularly good last season, they only won 6. They actually took more points away from home, curiously. Only took 4 points at home vs. the bottom 4, the 1 win being against Burnley. Also lost to Sunderland, Bournemouth & Brentford. They only came back from behind to win 1 last season, against Palace. Can't help but feel we can't afford to go behind tomorrow like we have in our last 3 though as that's when the game could get away from us against a team as stubborn and street wise as them. Keep it tight, stay in the game, try to hit them on the counter with the pace we have in forward areas. | | | |

Is it that they're a tough nut when they're evens or underdogs though? Would they feel obliged to take the game to a promoted side at home and open themselves up a bit? My years of refusing to watch any football that Town are not involved in have left me with a bit of a deficit when it comes to intelligence on our opponents this season. (Not sure if the last five words above are necessary.)

I see them as a classic case of a really solid, well organised team, who generally get what you expect them to get. Few points against the "big 6" last season (a notable 3-0 win at home to Chelsea aside) where they generally fall short against superior opposition. Most of their points come against the bottom half sides, although last season they travelled better points wise than at home. They're probably the most predictable side in the division, you just know they'll finish somewhere between 10th and 15th this season with somewhere between 45 - 55 points. Boring innit. Our last home game against them sums them up, there really wasn't a lot in the game IMO but they took their couple of chances and we didn't. Clean sheet, 2-0 away win, job done. Remind me a bit of us under Mick. Solid, the whole is equal or greater than the parts, pretty consistent at getting points when you expect them to. Its not unthinkable that we go there and get a point tomorrow, West Ham and Wolves did it last season. Head says Everton by a goal or 2. Heart says we could get something.
| Not the most difficult away fixture tomorrow on 11:23 - Sep 18 with 1514 views | Billywitch | Aside from the super clubs (Arsenal/Liverpool etc) last time we were in the PL the game vs Everton was the biggest eye opened to me just how hard this league is. Everton were everything we werent on that day, frightening to see us bullied so badly. With that in mind, I'd say its a very difficult game, and if we get a point i'd be treating that as a win! | | | | Login to get fewer ads

I didn't think they were especially impressive at PR. They were clinical though, we weren't, and it curtains by half time. I think it was Clarke who had a really good chance early on, then we gave a dreadful goal away, one of the worst at PR that season. VAR chalked off a penalty for us as well. Brighton was humbling, home and away. Got slapped on both occasions and while the 0-0 away was a good point it felt pretty fortunate. They absolutely humped us.

1-1 Enciso That’s my bet. Think Emersonn may struggle a bit tomorrow - as you Tarkowski and Braithwaite are the two form centre backs in the league.

Crazy how differently we all see things isn't it. Brighton away I came away thinking we were really decent and in that game. Anyway, draw tomorrow, 7 points from 5, very good start :)
| Not the most difficult away fixture tomorrow on 12:25 - Sep 19 with 535 views | Adams | I'm expecting a tough game, but I'm hopeful we will get something from it Every time I've watched them, it's very obvious that they are extremely well organised and all know their role on and off the ball so well. I don't think Everton have the most talented team, not that it's bad either, and Hackley and Grealish add something different when they come on (wonder if either will start), but Moyes is doing a great job there with the players they have. Away games will always be tough, but as with most games, we can get a result if we can keep it tight at the back and midfield. That's a big if, though. It should be an interesting game! | | | |
