After my dad passed I read something that said walk slowly through your grief, take time to remember and be prepared for random moments when memories came into your mind,
all too quickly those moments will pass and you will come to miss them, so walk slowly through your grief

I totally agree. I hope he gets the support he wants and needs at such a difficult time.
Everyone who goes through it has to deal with it in their own way. There’s no right or wrong. Just what works for you. For me, I worked alongside doing what had to be done domestically when my mum passed away. I found it for me cathartic, though it could be interpreted as a cowards way out and distraction. But it wasn’t the latter. It’s just what I felt worked.
Tbf, my employers were very supportive and let me do what needed to be done without pressure. I’ve no doubt ITFC will do the same - in supporting people beyond the humane rightness of it, it’s very mutually beneficial. |  | | |
