Absolutely - seen 3 of the repeats on freeview recently including the last ever, with the dismantling of the unit that you mentioned; plus the one centred around the Major’s racism and toothache.

Ahead of their time, and still as fresh as a daisy, including what looks like a good technical re-formatting.

I wonder what it was that incurred the ire of the downvoter!

Flawty Towers, Boys from the Black stuff, and Spitting Image were absolute classics of their time.
Have strangely never watched Mash, or the other 2.

I have to confess to being absolutely addicted to Trailer Park Boys for several years now. Have watched it more times then I care to admit and still makes me laugh out loud

Would add Black Adder, Peep Show and spaced.

Also Rentaghost and the A Team were excellent in the 80,s

It's all deeply personal of course but I'd have to have the detectorists in there, beautiful calm perfect hug of a series. Not packed with drama, twists and massive sweeping plots, just cosy telly at its absolute best.

How on earth could I have forgotten the Attenborough documentary series (BBC/OU collaborations) - I’ll add in a couple of those, an extremely moving BBC drama about a gay couple trying to adopt a kid called ‘Lost Boys and Fairies’ (unfortunately only available to watch now on YouTube or Prime) and the ITV post office scandal drama, to make a nice round 10!

Line of Duty made it to my long list but didn't survive the cut. It was great, and the Neil Pearson character drove a fantastic Saab. In fact, Saab inclusion could be the mark of a decent telly programme as there's one in Ludwig too.
