| After everything that’s happened, it’s horrible watching Man City celebratin on 19:45 - Oct 11 by armchaircritic59 | My take on it precisely. Unfortunately there is no punishment I can think of that won't punish those that have played no part in the whole sorry affair, as well as those found guilty. It's the price you can pay for trusting that a club you support is being run correctly and within all known rules and regulations. This is going to drag on for ages I fear. They'll just appeal everything that goes against them. |
It’s not the fans’ fault, but they have been the most insufferably arrogant and entitled bunch of ****s since we and they were in the second tier vying for promotion in the 90s. A few of us Town fans used to get together back then in a sports bar in N Leeds, and Citeh were the most regularly unpleasant opposition fans in there with their “we are massive” spiel. Hope they get properly twonked with punishments 🤞

I certainly wouldn’t put money on there being any meaningful sanctions. They’re too big and important to the EPL gravy train. Just look at how unwilling Burnham was to criticise them after they’d been found guilty. The extreme wealth of their owners is all that matters to some people, and I suspect ‘some people’ includes the EPL. Hopefully I’m wrong.

Sadly, you're probably not. How am I supposed to tell my kids that cheats never prosper, when they can see for themselves that is clearly untrue?

Indeed! | |

If they get 100 points this season they will start next season on -300 in The Championship. Should take them at least 10 years to get back.

They've clearly been told by the club we will stop at nothing. Dock them 70 points, 2 year transfer ban and lets get on with it. |
No! Throw them out of the Premier League mid-season and make them apply to the Football League for admission to the pyramid. If the Football League let them in at League Two next season, so be it. If they don't, they will have to start at the bottom of the pyramid.

Every other team should make a stand by playing their Under 18s against them. Turn the League into a farce until they are thrown out. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

That wouldn’t be fair at all on the U18s.

And that is their fault, because? I'm yet to get a logical response to how this is a football players fault, or the fans fault.

If justice is not done perhaps fans should refuse to go to games involving Man City and not watch their matches (and their big adverts) on TV, cancelling Sky/TNT subscriptions and giving that as the reason. That might be the only power we have left.
