| Walton not good enough 15:45 - Oct 17 with 11480 views | Joey_Joe_Joe_Junior | You need your keeper to be having a worldie at the Ethiad to have any chance, but for all that hard work we are putting in as outfield players and managed to get back into game. Both looked savable but Jesus that second, not good. | |

| Walton not good enough on 15:50 - Oct 17 with 4840 views | tonybied | He's never been great at reaction or one-on-one saves. He's a steady, mostly dependable keeper, who doesn't excel at much. We have to hope Scherpen comes back stronger from his enforced break. It will massively help our survival hopes to have someone strong between the sticks | | | |
| Walton not good enough on 15:54 - Oct 17 with 4718 views | ernie | Second one was staying out then hit his other hand and went in. Unfortunate | | | |
| Walton not good enough on 15:54 - Oct 17 with 4722 views | LankHenners | Both quite close to him and the first is just too hard from that range to do much with but yeah think you'd expect a proper PL-level GK to do better with the 2nd one. Annoying from Florentino in the build-up as well - no need to go flying in like that (which he's done a few times), just gave Kovacic a free go at clipping it in to Haaland. | |

I don’t rate him at the level, as I said when the change was made. Not his fault more on the recruitment. Florentino hasn’t been great either but some other very encouraging stuff, it’s a nightmare playing against a team with the quality of man city you need your keeper saving those.

No scapegoat just a consistent opinion, if a problem area at the club and has been a long time. Whatever GON says can’t have been the plan.

| Walton not good enough on 15:57 - Oct 17 with 4567 views | Scuzzer | Yet he has just pulled off two worldies. Who do you want us to have in goal, Gordon Banks? | |

I find our goalkeeping situation bizarre to say the least.

He’s been the most disappointing outfield player, Foden ran off him for the first as well.

That was poor. Just (‘just’) needs to go with Kovacic to the byeline there.

Have you seen the goal the Hull keeper has let in today? That was a real, shocker.

| Walton not good enough on 16:00 - Oct 17 with 4412 views | OldFart71 | You cannot just blame Walton. Diop left Haarland with a free header. The midfield just haven't kept the ball well enough either. We have the players that can score, but if you don't have or keep the ball when in possession you give the forwards no chance, they are feeding on scraps. | | | |

lol They were not two worldies for they were comfortable saves from shots front distant as Le Saux said on comms. [Post edited 17 Oct 16:23]

Not just blaming Walton but putting in a shift against a top 3 side in the world is very very hard as an outfield player with their ball retention and movement. I want my keeper better for both. Palmer is a better reaction keeper than CW as we saw at Villa and Chelsea last time but at the end if the day it comes down to recruitment in the position and it’s a key one.

| Walton not good enough on 16:05 - Oct 17 with 4292 views | King_of_Portman_Rd | He could/should have done bettee for the Second goal.. but it wasnt a howler of Muric proportions and he’s a solid glovesman that provides good continuity. Florentino on the other hand has had a poor 45 and looks well off match sharpness. | | | |

No. He’s been dead for 7 years and def won’t be an improvement on Walton.

Yes I think we’ve been doing very well but Luis was poor first half.

| Walton not good enough on 16:17 - Oct 17 with 4108 views | ITFC_Essex | Every time we concede or lose against better teams it’s always the goalkeepers fault… They’ve had 80% of the ball, and we’ve been absolutely nowhere near them anywhere on the pitch. Slicker could have started and the final score will be the same, which will be between 3/4/5/6 to our 1 at the end. It’s a meaningless fixture for the armchairs to enjoy through their phones. | |

| Walton not good enough on 16:23 - Oct 17 with 4023 views | Smoresy | Agreed on the soft goals, and Man City's live "xG on target" figure is 0.80 for what that's worth (ours 0.85). But he did very well against Fulham and wasn't signed to be our PL keeper, so I'm loath to criticise him. | | | |

Not really true though is it, we’ve certainly had some moments.

Walton has had a hand in as many goals conceded as scherpen yet everyone wanted walton in.
