I don't usually take issue with your posts, Frimmers, but look at where we are. 3-2 against Man City at 90 minutes. Look how far we have come! Why focus on negatives? First half he was definitely worse than others at giving the ball away, as well as going for challenges he could never get(see second goal as the 3rd or 4th time he did it).
Sorry, he wasn't very good. If no-one is allowed a (different) opinion, we may as well close this forum down. People can criticise players.
Having said that, he's playing Man City and I have to say first half Palacios didn't look brilliant either. [Post edited 17 Oct 20:35]

For what it's worth Frimmers, I don't think you're that wrong on this. He needed to stand up more today, overall wasn't his best game and I said in another comment, we looked better with Matusiwa on.
Tough game for him, maybe piss poor is a bit harsh given the opposition though. |  |

I think for me if it was more that he was just losing the ball and being out battled id have said he had a tough game but had tried as best as we could have hoped against man city. But no one forced him to go to ground so often and thats why in game time for me it was a more than slightly poor performance. If he stays on his feet that result could have been different. | |

It probably would, because you can’t see how the opposition are defending the spaces and cutting off passing lines when the TV’s focussed on the ball. Suddenly ‘simple’ 10 yard passes aren’t always so simple.
Although you see details on TV that you miss in the ground, so sings and roundabouts and all that. |  |
