Need to keep him fit and we have every chance.

He’s averaging 16 defensive contributions per 90 mins according to FPL, had 19 against Liverpool as well

Palacios is getting fantasy bonus every week he plays over 45 minutes with the fantasy league points. Last player to get 4 points every week for me last season was Elliott Anderson….

100% this. Overall he had an excellent game but that cross field pass for their 3rd goal was lower championship level at best and that 3rd goal killed the game. If Walton had kicked that ball out straight to a City player a few on here what be blaming Walton for the goal and claiming it proves he's not PL level. But some Town fans are never happy unless they can find a scapegoat.
| Palacios stats today on 09:43 - Oct 18 with 1615 views | Mullet | He was poor in the first half, night and day with the second half where he looked the player we hoped for. What’s really marked about City’s cheating is they take teams best players like Ndiaye, the young Moroccan lad in midfield who are excellent and can rotate them with 2-3 £100m players. Thats what makes yesterday quite galling but a reason to think we stay up. | |

All good points, except Iliman Ndiaye is French but plays for Senegal and is a winger. Did you mean Bouaddi ?

It wasn't a brilliant pass but that is exactly the type of ball we need to be trying to get in behind PL defences. There was still an awful lot for City to do after that pass and plenty of chances for others to stop the subsequent attack. Fair point about the scapegoating though. SB

Not a fault of davis but it was another conceded town goal starting with davis high up the pitch. Of course it has its benefits buts been a consistent thing really over the past few years. Just part of the risk i guess. But shows how spot on that pass needs to be to to from potential town attack to conceding a goal scoring opportunity. Am i right in thinking too that davis had been booked already so he couldnt even take a technical foul.

Not the best ball but City still had loads to do from there and Davis was just eased off it from there quite comfortably. If you look at his play in the back to front build it up that led to a half chance for Fleming, it was unbelievable really. Top player.

As I said his overall game was excellent, but that pass was still championship level, maybe L1 at best. Once its played straight to the City player Davis is having to tackle from behind, which is always going to be difficult. In Palacios defence, at least he acknowledged after the goal it was his fault. Maybe GON can have Palacios spend some training time this week with Egeli to learn the art of cross field passing. When players make mistakes fans should be consistent, accept their favourites aren't perfect.

It was a poor attempt however is davis guilty of not reading the pass and coming towards it instead of waiting for it?

Why have you responded to me saying it's not the fault of Davis then essentially blamed Davis here? Very strange. SB

Because in that first reply to you i was referring to davis being high up the pitch Its not a fault of his, thats his role and i covered it with the risk and reward of it. My question regarding the ball being played was more of a general football question about whether he should have dropped in to take claim the pass rather than wait for it. Regardless of the answer im still putting no fault on him for the goal btw. [Post edited 18 Oct 17:33]

Bit weird to grade passes like that. It was an underhit cross field ball, the greatest passers in the history of the game did that on plenty of occasions.
