I hope Delap and Forest don't play this well on Friday 18:03 - Oct 18 with 2393 viewsGlasgowBlue

Look nothing like a team hovering around the bottom three.

Antisemites, Jew haters and crashing bores will be put on ignore.

Not sure what to make of Forest tbh. They looked a lot like a team who are struggling to score goals.

Super organised and hard working, but at the expense of any real creativity.

Will be a tough game on friday though, as they will be desperate to get back on track after 3 straight losses.

I was born underwater, I dried out in the sun. I started humping volcanoes baby, when I was too young.
Poll: Are we gonna win tomorrow then?

Yet we have spent close to £200M. Won three games. Pushed Manchester City very hard indeed and even scored two at Manchester United. Only big disappointment was Everton for me, where I thought amd hoped we would get something.

We shouldn’t be looking for excuses or thinking it’s bad for us. If they had beaten Arsenal, surely they would have been on a high … that would have been worse as full of confidence. They didn’t. No points. Confidence sapper.

We are at home. Under the lights. We shouldn’t be worried. Nor think it’s a bigger game for them than us. A game we ought to take at least a point.

Just my view though.

That’s fair and it’s certainly micro analysis to be looking so closely at it, which I was only doing because the game was just going on.

I just think decent team that aren’t playing badly pick up better results in a law of averages kind of way, soon rather than later.

We absolutely should go into the game confident.

Poll: Ok gut feeling then, promotion?

.....only one team in the league has lost more games than us so far.

We've won 3 games, but all against teams in the bottom half, and all through last minute winners.

We haven't really looked like winning any of the other games.

Obviously I wouldn't say that, it's what we need to do and we are doing it.

I think we'll stay up, but I don't think it will be "comfortably" and I'm not going to get too carried away just yet.

Everyone else has a positive goal different in the top half, we have -4!

Far too early to be carried away.

Didn’t watch the game, so can only go on what the stats show - which is that Forest created very little, and gave the ball away a lot / poor passing.

What so impressed people that makes them think we won’t be in it on Friday. Sure we’ve got a lot to improve, but we’re far from the team we were 2 years ago, and IMO are well enough equipped to match most teams at PM.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying we shouldn’t respect Forest on Friday, but reading some of the comments on here, you’d think PSG were visiting …

Most of that after the collapse against Man Utd when Emersonn was forced off and we didn't yet have Flemming.

We were unlucky not to nick a (probably undeserved) draw against Everton near the end of that game as well, so there's a lot to negate the lack of clean sheets and goals we've conceded.

Only 4 teams in the league have scored more goals than us so far, so scoring goals is already not a problem for us. Goals win you more points than draws, although it is obviously nice to pick up as many points as you can.

I don't think I'm getting carried away in my thinking, I simply just think we aren't a bottom 3, even bottom 4 team.

We have started great and are playing very well. Yet still people love to be negative.....it's tiring.

If we beat them it’s got to be our best result so far this season. I think they’re in a bit of a false position, a lot of good players and a good manager. It’s not unthinkable though, and this afternoon will have taken a bit out of them.

Got a feeling Fatawu will have a big say on Friday.

They were playing Arsenal.

That only has so much to do with what they do with the ball in possession.

Check out the underlaying stats for other games, like Spurs, and it’s a similar story. We played ManC yesterday, and our numbers look far better.

The relative comparison between our numbers vs Forest doesn’t align particularly well with the despondency by some on how Friday will play out.

Haven't seen anything to worry us too much
We matched man city second half yesterday. Forrest defended well but otherwise did nothing.

Our record against Forest!
Games won: 22
Games drawn: 19
Games lost: 42

We've only beaten them 6 times this century and the last time was 2017! Any points from this game (home or not) is a bonus for us!

Delap seems to have forgotten how to shoot. He just doesn’t score goals anymore.

Bookmark this, Delap will get the winner, it's written in the stars isn't it. Once he scores against us he'll likely get a second or third quickly after.

If we can beat Bournemouth and Hull though I'd be happy with that three game block and anything at Spurs a bonus.
