I hope Delap and Forest don't play this well on Friday 18:03 - Oct 18 with 2502 viewsGlasgowBlue

Look nothing like a team hovering around the bottom three.

Antisemites, Jew haters and crashing bores will be put on ignore.

Last week was an annoying result, they’re much better than Palace and I think Palace have a much better chance at being down there this season. Could have done with that being the reversed.

Forest are decent away as well, they are favorites for the game Friday.

Poll: Ok gut feeling then, promotion?

We haven't been favourites for any of our games so far this season, not one. Yet here we sit averaging over a point per game.

No surprise at all that Forest are favourites with the bookies for Friday.

Yeah I know, just think they’ve played well last two weeks and going to end up with 0 points, they should have battered Palace. This is bad for us, big game for them now Friday.

They should beat us, worst thing we can have on Friday is a grim-faced crowd turning up at PR expecting to win. I'd bite your hand off now for a draw and anything bigger than that would convince me we have a massive chance of staying up.

Fulham's last two results before playing us were 1-1 draws against Liverpool and Man Utd - both of which they should've won.

Bite your hand off is a little bit of a stretch, I’d say any side outside the tip 6 at home should absolutely be a big target for points. A draw, considering the context of our season so far would be decent enough of course.

Forest are good PL team, who should be about mid table.

Given what we've shown so far, we shouldn't be snapping anyone's hand off for a draw at home against teams of their profile.

Forest losing 2 in a row is not good for us before we play them IMO.

People looking a little bit too much h in league positioning mid October.

I’m not so sure. That first half was as dull as it comes.

Delap just charges around. If we defend well, it shouldn’t be an issue.

Looks to me like Forest may struggle. At home, under the lights, it’s a game we ought to pick up at least a point.

We could all be overthinking it but I just usually prescribe to the theory in sports that sometimes certain teams are too good to play well 3 times and not get a good result.

It’s makes Friday a bigger game for them now, I also think they will likely finish above us, so would not be that worried about them gaining a point on us in mid October.

Am I the only one on this board who thinks we are a mid-table, potentially top 10 premier league team?

I'm not remotely worried about the bottom 3. We have more energy than most teams towards the end of games now, and almost half of the league have to contend with europe, so it's an even better advantage for us with the team that we have assembled. I'm more worried about whether or not we are potentially finishing top half, or happily mid-table, than involved in the relegation battle.

We scored yet another late goal against Man City. We are first for goals scored with 6, and have not yet conceded past the 75th minute. Even when we conceded an equaliser IN the 75th minute against Palace, we still went on to win the game with a goal in the 90th.

Our energy is completely different now. We have enough cover with our energy to supplement poor first-halves, of which we haven't had many poor first-halves in the first place.

I cannot be the only one who thinks the same?

Their physicality is a concern but Delap is hopeless unless you leave a mountain of space in behind. Hopefully this won't be the case.

Saw him enough times at Chelsea to know if you keep him facing his own goal he's far less effective.

Yet we have spent close to £200M. Won three games. Pushed Manchester City very hard indeed and even scored two at Manchester United. Only big disappointment was Everton for me, where I thought amd hoped we would get something.

We shouldn’t be looking for excuses or thinking it’s bad for us. If they had beaten Arsenal, surely they would have been on a high … that would have been worse as full of confidence. They didn’t. No points. Confidence sapper.

We are at home. Under the lights. We shouldn’t be worried. Nor think it’s a bigger game for them than us. A game we ought to take at least a point.

Just my view though.

I love the positivity but we haven’t kept a clean sheet all season and scored a lot of last minute winners. Obviously the latter is a real positive but it won’t happen every week.

We would need to keep multiple clean sheets to be a viable top half team, the league is too good to outscore teams constantly.

Think you should be worried about the bottom three tbh and are getting very ahead of yourself. 17th would still be an incredible achievement - if you take the potential for Man City getting a huge points deduction it’s still us, Hull and Cov who the bookies think are for the drop.

.....only one team in the league has lost more games than us so far.

We've won 3 games, but all against teams in the bottom half, and all through last minute winners.

We haven't really looked like winning any of the other games.

Obviously I wouldn't say that, it's what we need to do and we are doing it.

I think we'll stay up, but I don't think it will be "comfortably" and I'm not going to get too carried away just yet.
