That's Carrick done now, no way back (n/t) on 20:38 - Oct 25 by Metal_Hacker
Everyone’s job is stressful but no amount of money is enough seeing how this guy has turned into a complete mess
Imagine this was a family member
Football is a different beast tho
If you failed as a sales manager you might struggle to get that role at such a level forna while
In football depending on who you are you can sometimes fail alot yet walk into the same well paid job
Rooney. Russell martin as examples
The utd job has been painful for most managers. Carrick should relax. Take the cash. Await the sack then apply for sunderland job telling them how painful the utd jon was behind the scenes.
Carrick will get sacked, but a new manager will still have a squad compared to the other top teams that lack quality and athleticism. The club's transfers are odd, to say the least. If they can't get a lot more quality in the team, the new manager will fail to compete at the top.

I do see your view
I think the job itself like others is stressful. Early mornings. Late nights. You just wamma win. But i hope for carrick the sacking side of it hes not worrying about. The utd job has caused many managers problems. Hopefully hes taken some things from it to take onto another job.

He will get sack, of course he will. Someone needs to remind the Man U board on the definition of insanity.
Club is rotten to the core and without hierarchical change they’re going nowhere.
This is a club that: Lets a player like Pogba leave on a free, buys him back for £90m then lets him leave on a free Fails to renew De Gea’s contract then spends £50m on a bang average replacement Signs Anthony for £90m, Maguire for £80m etc etc Backed Ole to bring through youth then completely goes against this philosophy just because there was a rumour Ronaldo would go to city Turned down the chance to sign Haaland for £17m The list goes on
I sincerely hope that any other young English manager with a decent reputation gives the a very wide berth
Sells McTominay to Napoli for £25m. They have finished 1,2 in Serie A & he was named the league's MVP.

That’s a remarkable take.
How so?
It's not going to make Wilcox etc any more popular throwing Carrick under the bus. Their squad is not good enough. They have too many expensive average players.
He may well go tomorrow but I wouldn't be surprised if the heat turns nuclear on Wilcox and the board.

There is no pressure on the "board". Man U has long been a financial behemoth, out of which the shrewd Glazers have dome remarkably well. Ratcliffe owning 25% but having full sporting control acts as a nice heat shield. Ratcliffe will only panic if it looks like Man U might be relegated. There is still a huge waiting list for season tickets. Carrick is obviously going to be fired & Wilcox will be under threat. Plus ca change...

Plenty of liquidity on Betfair at 1/4 and above that he won't be manager by the time they play Chelsea.

90% of the squad needs to go. He looks good in a winning team but hasnt the fight for a struggling one, he only shows up when they're winning.
We were unlucky, we got the one game this year where he had the bit between his teeth, between that, a slip and a handball we got fully done. Its literally the only game he's shown up in.
Only 1 man for the job...
