There's simply no pleasing some people 19:37 - Oct 31 with 3591 viewsjasondozzell

We're watching Enciso and Palacios in Town shirts and the are OUR players and instead people are more interested in muttering conspiracy theories about Walton.

Completely bonkers.

Wheeling out the entitled sign for the 4th season in a row now.

I think it's exactly because people can see how much quality we've got that people are frustrated by our weaknesses. We don't want to risk losing the massive leap forward we've made in the quality of the playing staff by getting relegated and losing players like Enciso, Palacios and Ouattara. This is perhaps the most important season for Town in several generations - make it stick and we could go on to be an established PL team for decades. Mess it up and, well... Yes it's harsh on people like O'Shea and Walton to get stick, but unfortunately that's the reality of our position.

Well it is Halloween and Walton and Dara's performances were a horror show.

We're not getting relegated!

Relax.

Enjoy the football. Another brilliant performance today. You don't always get that you deserve in football.

All the entitled moaners should be made to watch Duke Ellington Town lowlights on loop followed by Joey Garner throwing himself down to turf x 1000.

It isn't FIFA! We're playing really well this season.

Pretty arrogant to claim there's no chance of relegation when we haven't even got to November.

I can’t speak for everyone but your comment isn’t a fair representation of most I’d guess. Loved the work we have done so far it’s just when one of our defenders runs away from an attacker closing in on goal and our goalkeeper lets in ANOTHER goal in the side of the goal he should have covered it warrants a mention. Plenty of people loving over Palacious and Enciso too if you can be bothered to look. Which clearly you can’t.

People are reacting to us dropping two points at a relegation rival. It’s not much deeper than that. If we want to establish and kick on, that’s a game we have to be winning.

Walton witchhunt madness

Nope, It’s frustration and that has a lot more to do with recruitment in position for a while than anything personal against Christian.

It’s actually more annoying because of the quality you mention but then the likes of McBurnie, Stroud and Slater and co get something against us because of basic errors. They haven’t won since August and will likely get pumped next week. Hull have done it against other teams but man did we boss them, annoying.

We let them off the hook big time, they shouldn’t have scored 2 today in a million years. Not just his errors of course, but if you watch City and today and say he’s been good, that’s a joke, bad on multiple goals the last two away games.

I don't see it like that at all. And what conspiracy theories? I don't think anybody has anything at all against Walton, I certainly don't. He has been a very good servant for Town and is a genuinely good guy.

The issue is with the recruitment as for three seasons in a row, we have no clearly identified number one goalkeeper and have had to go back to him. That's not on Walton, but it is a real problem that is costing and will continue to cost points if we don't address and sort it soonish (Jan).

The January transfer window should be seen as an opportunity to shift some players on and sprinkle a bit more stardust across our squad. But once again, we have the nagging headache of knowing we haven't got the most important position on the pitch nailed down. And if we don't know that, we should.

The problem behind the midfield is why we are not getting close to keeping a clean sheet and having to score 2 or maybe 3 to get something from a game is only sustainable for so long and as good as we have been in our scoring output, that can only paper over the cracks for so long.

We have such an opportunity this year to establish themselves in this division. I think and know we can do it but we have made ourselves vulnerable.

It's all entitled nonsense.

New manager and a lot of new players and toughest league in world and we've started brilliantly.

We're not going to win every game.

Did we play well today? Yes.

Good point.

You really want to drag DOS through mud and Walton too? They've been v good this season so far.

Before the game, most would have been happy with a point. However, can't really deny the fact it feels like two dropped at the final whistle.

The main positive from today is the fact that it looked very much like we'd come away with nothing but the lads really do have something about them, a resilience that will bode us well over the season.

It's football. Some transfers work, some don't.

I haven't written off Scherpen already. Have you?

Walton has been brilliant in his time at club. V good this season too.

Do we really think it's proportionate for a free kick squeezing in to spark 'goalkeepimg crisis' talk?!

If it's against a Christian, isn't it a persecution?

It's 106 miles to Portman Road, we've got a full tank of gas, half a round of Port Salut, it's dark... and we're wearing blue tinted sunglasses.

I certainly don't think over the course of the games so far either of those have been 'bad' as such. Especially given DOS was playing right back early doors.

That said, I'd love to know what Dara was thinking for that goal - he's made a pigs ear of it and there is no getting away from it. And Walton, you have to say, being beaten at the far post with a grubber of a free kick isn't great. Therefore, hardly surprising to see either mentioned in the comments.

Drag through the mud? Listen to yourself. They were terrible errors, listen to GON press after the game. Calling it as I see it when it happens. DOS and Walts have previous too.
