Board games.... 08:12 - May 3 with 3152 views | itfcjoe | ....any recommendations. Still adjusting to having a little one and being housebound with missus from 7pm - not that I used to go out much in week - and trying to find something different to do in evenings that just watch TV or stuff on our own? Played a bit of Monopoly on a recent holiday (Crazy I know...) and still enjoyed it and know there are loads of games out which aren't the classics like Pandemic and things like that. Anyone know any that are 2 player, and not massively mentally taxing - interested in thoughts....

Board games.... on 08:15 - May 3 with 2422 views | WD19 | Favourites games in my house: Chess, Trivial Pursuit and Downfall. Used to enjoy Backgammon but have forgotten how to play. Monopoly takes too long.
Board games.... on 08:16 - May 3 with 2421 views | Bluebell | Do you like doing jigsaws? I find doing one is a good way to pass the time and you can keep going back to it. We often have a 1000 piece one on the go at our holiday home as there is no wi-fi and only freeview on the telly.

Board games.... on 09:30 - May 3 with 2271 views | King_of_Portman_Rd | Frustration.. Found a pub when I was at Uni who had a whole cupboard of boardgames.. so went there on a weekly basis for an hour of frustration before the pub quiz, plus there beer was disgustingly cheap on Tuesday nights
Board games.... on 09:53 - May 3 with 2233 views | Guthrum | Things like Ticket to Ride and Small World work for two, but even better as the app, when you can also have bots to add a couple more players. Patchwork is a great little game. Coppertwaddle seems fun from the first couple of plays Hanabi, maybe the Tiny Epic series. Have a look on here for reviews and more ideas: http://boardgamegeek.com My favourite 2 players are probably 1989 and Twighlight Struggle, but they are pretty heavy.

Board games.... on 10:26 - May 3 with 2189 views | Deano69 | We love Triominos. Been playing it with all ages including the little one since she was 6 or 7, she needed a little hlep from time to time and we made our own rules up to make it simple to score (based on dominoes). Even have a travel set for on holiday

Cluedo is a bit rubbish if it's two player.

Board games.... on 10:37 - May 3 with 2168 views | cinnamonITFC | Definitely look into 'Hive'. It's a specifically two player game. No board required, and if you get the pocket version it's really portable so you can play it anywhere. Massive replayability, a really good fun game! We play it all the time! You could also look into 'Mr Jack'. I don't like it quite as much but some people absolutely adore it! Again it's specifically two player.

Board games.... on 11:37 - May 3 with 2068 views | vilanovablue | Check out Beasts of Balance it's Jenga but integrated with an App on your phone. Got it for Christmas and loads of fun for everyone. It's more cooperative rather than competitive but still playing it a lot! It is expensive but it's a fairly clever thing. http://beastsofbalance.com/

I appreciate bots can help and playing on apps, but really it also is an attempt for us to not sit there looking at phones as much as TV so would rather something a bit simpler - will look at the other ones you mention
