I was in 4th form (year 11?????) in 1976. It was wonderful. Yes, too hot, but you just stayed indoors in the hottest hours. We grew all our own veg, there was a hosepipe ban so every evening I helped my dad by hoiking buckets of water the length of the garden as he expertly wielded our one watering can. Loved it. | | | |

I am in office with 80 people and we have the air-con but the woman who works opposite my desk complains about the air-con being on and too cold.
She has her own fan heater and has it running under her desk all day on full blast!
Then come winter she moans its to cold and has a hot water bottle as well. |  |
