I think we should stick with Lambert for the time being, however... Burley as DoF all day long. Not convinced by Dyer though, maybe as assistant first. With Colin for 18 months

Lambert is not going to change though and he is a big part of our dire form.

And Evans is not going to sack him. Have you learnt nothing about his track record. When we can't mathematically go up, he might think about it. Until then, it'll be Lambert until at least Easter, get used to it.

Laughable. Neither have anything going other than emotions of the fans and when the results are bad, the same fans will respond emotionally again and call for them to be sacked. We might as well get Mick Mills and Paul Mariner.

Dyer has never managed at a proper level and Burley hasn't managed in 10 years. Never appoint managers with a nostalgic heart.

Because i don't believe in making any hiring decision in any walk of life or role on just having a punt based on absolutely no recent or relevant track record. That's before i even get to the weird mindset of sacking a manager who has us in 2nd. It's just weird. Everyone is making decisions on emotions in their head. We're in rubbish form. It happens and its p'ing me right off but we're not sacking people in 2nd for god sake. Lamberts needs to arrest the form but he's got the time, resources and experience to do it.

It's a totally valid question. We aren't progressing under Lambert but a nostalgic appointment based on absolutely no valid rationale is not the answer.

I can’t. I didn’t say they would be actually, purely on emotions basis . Having said that, should Lambert to leave I cannot think of too many names that spring to mind. Maybe Nigel Adkins, did a very good job at Hull under terrible ownership (albeit with Grosiki and Bowen).

I’ve been accused of “being Evans” several times by pointing us he subsidises the club’s losses (there’s a fact for you). I’ve been accused of being Lambert above. There’s another fact.

Our record of hiring managers with ‘proven track records’ has been outstanding right? Let’s try something new with the support of something tested. Lee Bowyer had no previous record in management Where was Farke from? Time we went back to what we’re good at, giving people a chance!

When it’s your millions at stake, I wonder whether you would take the same view. In fact, Magilton had no record at all and was given a chance. The fans turned against him and wanted him sacked. McCarthy had a good record and now clearly did well with what he had - but the fans wanted him out. Hurst was a young and unproven manager and he was given a chance. He was a disaster and was sacked after just 14 games. The evidence doesn’t support the idea that we don’t given untested managers a chance and it doesn’t support the idea that experienced managers are treated fairly either. We are second. We are half way through the season. To sack lambert is really very stupid. To appoint Burley would be a massive error. He hasn’t managed for 15 years. It would simply be harking back to a different era.
