He fails to acknowledge that we are totally bypassing our midfield, game in and game out.
It goes straight from defence and lumped up in a hopeful way into our forwards.
I'm not suggesting we play from the back at all times as we lack the quality, but at least pass some balls through to the midfield.

I actually disagree completely with that.
We probably play too many long balls, but there is very clearly an attempt to play passing football through the midfield, it is just that we aren't very good at it. Hence we usually have loads of possession but not many chances. |  |

We probably play too many long balls, but there is very clearly an attempt to play passing football through the midfield, it is just that we aren't very good at it. Hence we usually have loads of possession but not many chances. |

But your suggestion is that we're only playing long balls. If you're saying we play too many then I agree, but we do try and play passing football, just that too often it ends up back at the full back who goes long. | |

Agree with that, we have if anything overplayed to some extent in some games, or rather overplayed in not particularly threatening areas. Possession stats when compared to chances in most recent games rather tell the tale. |  | | |

the issue with our midfield is we have no players who will pick the ball up and either have pace or a quick presence of mind to get things going quickly, hence why we tend to have 55-60% possession in lots of our recent games without really creating anything as we allow teams to get men back behind the ball as our build up is so slow |  |

Seriously? I watcged it with my old man whose a forrest fan. His words were its a bit scrappy. At least ipswich are doing all the passing.Was obvious. Wycombe just lumped it up to that lad up front and sometimes that meant we had to clear it back up. Everytime we had it on deck at the back we tried to pass it. We're just not a Man City where we can do it quickly and carve through sides. | |

First half to an extent we tried to pass, but not that effectively. As the game wore on we were trading hoofs with them. | |
