If it helps, from my own corner of the NHS there was f*ck all going on last night. Probably because the usual 'itchy willy, sore back, not an accident, not an emergency' crowd weren't clogging up A&E. I do, however, expect that to turn around in a few weeks once the genuinely vulnerable start getting infected.
I'm one of the people who was blamed for getting Paul Cook sacked. PM for the full post.
I think the best thing you could do is stop worrying about other people. It's time to be a bit selfish mate. If others want to flock to the pub or Nando's etc and take their chances then so be it. We don't have to. Keep yourself safe and make sure your family is crystal clear about voluntarily social distancing.
If the plan is herd immunity then let the herd rush in. Sounds horrible to say it but they have the choice.

My fear is the impact of this weekend will bite us in the arse in 2 weeks.

I shuddered reading that but you’re right.
I guess the longer it goes on the more my anxiety is going to break me.
As I said yesterday, TWTD may be witnessing my live mental breakdown.
Same here. A lot of those that were asked to work from home yesterday seemed to be treating it like some kind of a holiday weekend. The weather was good, it was warm, and as I walked home the pub beer gardens were packed.
I don't know what some people are thinking.
Pronouns: He/Him/His.
"Imagine being a heterosexual white male in Britain at this moment. How bad is that. Everything you say is racist, everything you say is homophobic. The Woke community have really f****d this country."

It’s eye opening that for everything extreme I’ve said about humans jokingly (we don’t deserve to exist) it’s all true. There is a HUGE section of society who are just total and utter selfish c*nts. Some are billionaires. Some are politicians. Some are bosses. Some are sat next to you at work. Some of them are on the poverty line. And worse still, some are also your mates.

But they are all c*nts.
I think the desire to carry on like there isn't a problem is strong. The head in the sand approach is comforting to a lot of people. Some people's response to being scared is to carry on regardless.
Other people seem to think that the 'I'll go about my business like normal' approach, like in response to a terrorist attack is admirable. This isn't a terrorist attack people, it's a public health crisis.
But you're right. Some of them just selfish bellends.
I see Trump has said he's tested negative. Considering he lies as easy as breathing it's nailed on that he's tested positive.

I don’t know anymore. I’ve seen arguments for how our approach could work (steady flow, etc) but the state of the NHS right now and the risk with not knowing what points we lockdown it’s a huge gamble. Problem is there seems to be no thought out long term plan. Can we expect to go on lockdown in a week? Two? The bastrads are “winging it” with the lives of thousands. Seems safer to me to lockdown and see if it comes back, and then we know the expected infection rates and can plan accordingly to estimate the peaks and drops and get these measures right.
I hope to f*ck it does work and will take my hat off if it does, but I have zero faith in this sh1tshow running the UK.
EDIT: Not to mention we have no idea how this virus behaves or whether there will be more strains. It could be around to stay a while for all we know if it gets multiple strains.

Town centre here was closed and police have even been given the powers to stop private parties. 3 house parties were stopped last night, according to the local rag. Huge difference in strategies between Norway and the UK.
I’m following the government advice and carrying on as normal, whilst washing my hands and using hand sanitiser frequently.
We were out with friends last night and the bars were pretty busy. We are going skinning on Wednesday, and I see no reason to change any plans made unless the government advise differently.
Did I miss the quarantine communication from Bojo?
I was a selfish tw@t then and went to a mate's 50th in a town centre bar, as did plenty others although I did wash my hands for the appropriate time and avoided handshakes till I forgot and then touched my face by slapping my forehead in a jokey manner. I'm doomed.
Please note: prior to hitting the post button, I've double checked for anything that could be construed as "Anti Semitic" and to the best of my knowledge it isn't. Anything deemed to be of a Xenophobic nature is therefore purely accidental or down to your own misconstruing.

Absolutely, it isn't the plague. I am sure there will be some kind of lockdown soon. However if we are allowed to go to work, that's pretty pointless if you use public transport.

Selfish tw@at here (apparently). Went out in central London that involved tube journeys, pubs and drinks.
Given the lack of govt guidance, will continue to do so until we are advised otherwise.
Appreciate you are concerned (as we all are) but labelling others as xyz when they are following guidance is a bit much imho. If you have a problem, challenge the advice would be my suggestion. That, or save your ire for those ignoring the advice as/when it comes.
One positive, people were properly washing their hands in the pub toilets, never seen that before.
