Unusual baby names. 12:26 - May 6 with 947 viewsMattinLondon

Saw this just now and wondered if anyone can beat the unusualness if it?

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-52557291

My ex was a primary school teacher and I remember her telling me that a boy in her class was named ‘theone’ pronounced ‘the one’. As well as this she had a girl named ‘Nat_her’ pronounced Nat dash er.

I think she also had taught two twins the boy named Blue and the girl named pink.

when I worked in a bank back in the '80s we had a very 'new age' couple bank with us who have a boy called Moon and a Girl called Star

They were expecting a third and were convinced it would be a girl and they would call her Rainbow

It was a boy and called him Geoffrey

Clearly they discovered cricket, and Yorkshire cricket after the first two. Bravo.

Assumption is to make an ass out of you and me. Those who assume they know you, when they don't are just guessing. Those who assume and insist they know are daft and in denial. Those who assume, insist, and deny the truth are plain stupid. Those who assume, insist, deny the truth and tell YOU they know you (when they don't) have an IQ in the range of 35-49.

'If it's a girl, they're going to call it Sigourney - after the actress.

If it's a boy, they're going to call it Rodney - after Dave.'

Blimey!

I encountered the strange name of a West Indian chap whose parents hadn't grasped the cultural trope in the Caribbean of naming boys after famous British politicians (Winston, Gladstone etc).

They chose a famous politician, certainly. Sadly not British. They saddled the lad with the name 'Hitler Grant'.

Naming your children silly things like this should be considered child abuse and the perpetrators locked up for life.
