From the whole 'let's arrest someone for being homeless' thing to the fact that neither of them saw fit to think that perhaps they could call for a squad car to come and pick him up.

I actually felt sick when I saw the photos.

It's incredible how two separate individuals can both reach the conclusion that doing that is acceptable.

It shows that the thinking is pretty endemic otherwise you'd expect one individual to reach a different conclusion, speak up and follow procedures.

Without being complacent about racism in this country, I cannot see that ever happening in this country with the police.

Nedum Onuoha give an interview earlier this year after he was stopped a number of times in a short period because he was a black man driving a nice car. Each time he had to get out of his car and assume the search position before being let go. Although a gun was not pulled on him the police made a point of revealing their guns showing him they were ready. I am not sure on this but I think on at least one occasion he was stopped and searched by the same policeman. He said that while he had experienced racism in England what he witnessed in America was on a whole other level and it scared the crap out of him.

As i said, not complacent.

As I said, a bit of a strange comment. The main reason I can't see it happening is because we don't have that style of policing. Our racism simply exhibits in the style we do have.
