There have been three highlights this season, Bishop's breaking through the lines, Edwards greater consistency and aggressive wing play, and Dozzell midfield quarterback play.
Now less good: the consistency of senior players, the injuries, our inability to attack in waves and consistent energy.
I think we're all outraged by Marcus' culpable fan comments, but signing Dozzell is MASSIVE. You can build a team around him, Wolfenden and Bishop..... and frankly Drinan seems to get better with every game.
I would like to be super optimistic, but I can see absolutely no way Dozzell would have signed a new contract without some kind of ‘get out’ clause - whether that be an agreed release fee or whatever.
So it is good news..... very good news....but on balance of probability that good news is that if he leaves we will now secure a better fee than we would otherwise have done. He has done right by the club in that regard.

suspect when Chambers is no longer needed at right back he will be moved across and it will be Woolfie who makes way.
On the subject of kids it really should only be used in relation to academy players. When the majority of people refer to those at 6th form college as Students or young adults it is wrong for Lambert to refer to twenty year olds as kids.

Clearly the club is in a mess.... but the thought of letting Dozzell, Bishop and The Wolf leave without getting their best or real fees is a huge worry... this contract is very good news
Doesn't sort the season, or our massive concerns on effectiveness of coaching, but its something to cling on to.
It should be great news, but we're still lumbered with a terrible manager and an owner that treats us with contempt. Unless Andre can address those issues whilst also putting in a shift on the pitch, we're still screwed.

Yeah, this is nothing other than protecting our investment. When he’s ready to move on he will, irrespective of his contract. So it makes sense for us to load up his contract so we can get a better return. It’s a good move financially. From a football perspective it changes nothing; we just need to enjoy watching him while he’s here.

Embrace the technical Badger... don't be afraid, immerse yourself in its rich goodness, believe in the tactical
Bielsa once said: “If football was played by robots, I’d win everything.” This is misleading though, because he also allows players the freedom to express themselves. Yes, he breaks down the technical and tactical components and theorises them (“there are 36 forms of communicating through a pass"); but within that there is flexibility.
The Argentine is well known for his preference of playing vertical football, which is essentially shifting the ball at pace from the back line to the final third as quickly and effortlessly as possible without having to resort to playing long balls. Bielsa believes in the value of retaining possession, with there being an ideal distance of no more than 25 metres between the centre-forward and centre-back. Catching opponents off guard and punishing opponents with pace and precision are integral to his plan.
Bielsa’s sides work extremely hard on their shape which contorts, contracts and morphs to outsmart the opposition. The master tactician is no stranger to having utilised midfield players in his defence as he believes they are faster and more effective at commencing counter-attacks. The midfield is always marshalled by a central holding player who aids the defensive line, and one other who binds the holding midfielder with the Enganche.
