It's not about PL vs. PH. It's about PH saying, for the fans, that it's time for this manager to go.

What, Phil's in the room now? No he isn't. And he won't be back while PL is there. But that's not the issue. This issue is that this manager, by his decisions, does not deserve the support of the fans. "It's not personal. It's strictly business." - Michael Corleone [Post edited 9 Feb 2021 21:14]

I'm sure Phil will take a vocal stance if or when it is required, given the situation he is in.

FAO Phil Ham on 21:15 - Feb 9 with 3245 views | tractordownsouth | Obviously it's up to Phil and I'll respect his decision but wouldn't this increase his chances of the ban being lifted? I thought he said O'Neill seems quite sympathetic towards his predicament, so with Lambert out of the way that help him get back in. Unless it's Evans decision, but I doubt he deals with that stuff? Here's the deal, and IMHO, if you or Phil don't get this, you just won't. Phil Ham will never be allowed back in Portman Road while Paul Lambert is in charge. But my request has ZERO to do with that. I ask Phil Ham to make the call for TWTD (i.e., the fans) to call for Paul Lambert's resignation or sacking because of the poor results on the pitch and the team decisions that Lambert has made or not made.

Yeah that's what I meant. I know your post is obviously for the sake of the club rather than Phil, I was just responding to the others who suggest it might sour relations even more. Unless I've misunderstood it, it seems that more chance of Lambert out is more chance of Phil being allowed back. Although, as I said it's completely up to him of course.

why would it make any difference? If Evans doesn't sack PL based on what has happened over the last 3 years why is he going to sack him because Phil Ham says he should. Evans is a fool. 9 defeats out of 9 to top six sides. No other manager would survive that. But Evans its a tool and no doubt says each week, 'Unlucky Paul, have another go next week'

It is unlikely that Phil would run a piece demanding for the manager's head. He might, but that's not his usual style. More likely to write a piece saying that fans are calling for PL's head as that would be factual rather than his own opinion. Which, for the umpteenth time, makes his banning even more bewildering.

Again, it's not about Phil vs. Paul. It's about Phil speaking for the fans against a manager who is not getting it done.

We only do what we can do. I don't dream that Marcus Evans will somehow listen to Phil about firing Paul Lambert. But Phil stating that Lambert should go is the RIGHT THING TO DO!!! Not sure why this is getting such pushback.

Why would TWTD take a partisan stance when it never has done before? The lack of access is already costing the site money, so demanding Phil makes a stance on your behalf is pretty insulting to him, to be honest.

i don't think you really get it. It's all very obvious what TWTD thinks. Phil giving his opinion is just one man...one opinion...it would make F all difference

Quite... Phil has been clear about his personal opinion so why do more to damage a relationship that we all want TWTD to have with the club. TWTD splashing a headline will just further get Shambo's back up and might make him dig in.... he won't resign, too much money involved but he might say look Marcus lets thrash out a mutual consent deal

I disagree with that. The fact is that Phil has never done such a thing. But he COULD express the feeling of the board in an official statement for the board.
