My take on today's developments: The 8 senior players released: Chambers, Skuse,Sears, Huws, Wilson, Nydam, Judge and Ward are mainly over 30 and injury prone, with the obvious exception of Chambers who stayed remarkably fit throughout his career at PR. Add on the 5 loanees makes 13, plus Przybek, Wright and Cotter is 16. From the coaching staff Gill and Walker have departed and that's 18 out of the door. No doubt other, younger players will go and that will nudge the number to over 20. I am guessing the seniors were the big wage owners too. The surprising thing for me is that the group that Paul Hurst acquired is still pretty much intact, with Ellis Harrison the only departing player, although Edwards may still go.
