Arch Brexiteer demands more immigration, but as he likes to tell others, he knew what he was voting for.

Ah, an immigrant to this country who wanted to pull up the ladder to others now feels the pinch of his own stupidity. Never change, Timbo.

No doubt he’ll argue that it’s different because we’d be in control rather than it being freedom of movement. That’d be fine if our hostile environment approach wasn’t driving people away.

Suck it up Tim, this is what you wanted.

There does appear to be an oingoing need for brexiteers to demoinstrate their stupidity - as if normal folk were not aware of that fact.

Originally the numpties had come up with a minimum wage level that would have blocked the NHS from recruiting.... even some trained staff.

Fruit oicking, bar/hotel work etc is vary ransient, and so the idea that along with imports and exports it could be subject to rndless reams of red tape, costs and delays was always going to cause problems., as

A oub, restaurant etc close or has reduced custom so will cut staff. Under the brexit/righties lunacy these staff (if non UK) should return to their country ten apply for another visa.

Of course this could have easily been avoided by the UK simply aplying the rules already in existence. Sadly Cameron came up with the absurd idea that an EU citizen could enter the UK and look for work, but not claim benefits for 3 months.

Not so dim countries aplied the law whereby if you have not found work by 3 months, you have to leave. You are also requirec to register with the local town hall when you first enter.

Sensible measures which the brexiteers rejected ...... still, the good folk of Hartlepool can't complain there isn't any work for them.

You would hooe that brexiteers would by now taken off their ear defenders, stoo bleating iut 'project fear' and begin to ask themselves why they fell for such an obvious lThe link shows what Belgium did do, and still does

"Citizens of the European Union (EU).........have the right to stay in Belgium for a maximum period of three months, provided they register their presence in Belgium after arrival."

"Depending on your status, you may need to submit additional documents to support your residency application. "

"evidence you can support yourself financially (e.g., a letter from an employer confirming your position and salary, bank statements)

proof of adequate housing;

evidence that you have adequate healthcare insurance"

All thus was known by those who chose to listen - and could easily, and should have, been enforced by the Tory government

It us where the 'lower orders' (oikes) are required to gather in the produce

Not to be confused with a McGill post card where a Scotsman in a kilt is up a ladder doing said work, and the joke revolves around the word plums

That is joicking

Any news on when fishermen will start to feel the Brexit dividend, Gaz? Was only one boat off out from Lowestoft this morning. When should I tell them to expect the boom?

I'm going with it's a joke and the majority of the commenters know this and have responded in kind. Plenty of Stewart Lee references etc.

However, it's also apparent he's caught a few too.

There's some serious, disgruntled comments in there. Still with the obligatory poor spelling et al, but not obviously playing.

It's not necessarily inconsistent with his support for Brexit; the key point is his wanting workers with fewer rights.

But don't forget, this version of Brexit is a betrayal of the British people and Johnson is a traitor.

Hardly about the EU, the guy is all about cheaper labour and rights so he can continue to mug staff off. Support actual local pubs.

I can't think this sort of thing pushed him an his sort towards the EU

"The EU has agreed it will force large multinational companies to publish a breakdown of the tax they pay in each of the bloc’s member states and in tax havens such as Seychelles, piling pressure on the UK government to follow suit."

https://www.theguardian.com/business/2021/jun/02/eu-agrees-to-force-multinationa

by 'his sort', I don't mean the legions of older drinkers who he took the time to visit, and explain how their millions tucked away in off shore tax havens would be affected by upcoming EU tax reform.
