Surprise. The new Norway trade deal isn’t as good as the deal we had on 21:52 - Jun 4 with 2478 views | Swansea_Blue | People don’t care anymore. They’ve been told they’ve now got to fight over footballers making anti-racist gestures, statues and British institutions such as museums, the National Trust and the BBC who have the gall to talk about our history accurately or, even worse, criticise our glorious leader.

In any case she actually went on to say that “ this is the most comprehensive free trade agreement ever” Now as I understand it they have an issue with vetenary things. But here’s the thing, and to be honest I’m probably only snarling as I still have the toothache - if I am correct you hold some sort of government post and should be apolitical, yet you come on here frequently and to be quite honest post a load of headline or Twitter sh1te that is debunked pretty quick.

Must be a different Guardian to that online as nowhere does it have that this is "a good deal" It does have "that there would be extra costs for businesses on both sides which had been used to trading with the UK when it was an EU member state." "trade would be “more bureaucratic and less dynamic” than pre-Brexit arrangements" "there will also be many difficulties, as we see with the similar UK-EU trade and cooperation agreement. Overall this is quite a standard free trade agreement, with limited economic value." So, much as was stated before and after the referendum. There was never going to be those wondrous and better trade deals that were promised. The UK enjoyed a privileged trading position as a member of the EU, and now abandoned we are seeing costs, regulation and delays returning as the norm. The effects will take a while to really begin to bite, as businesses move to the EU, tariffs hit UK exports and overseas investment declines.

Surprise. The new Norway trade deal isn’t as good as the deal we had on 00:58 - Jun 5 with 2200 views | HARRY10 | Things the simple minded swallowed about brexit There’ll be no damage to trade with the EU “There is a European free trade zone from Iceland to the Russian border and we will be part of it… Britain will have access to the Single Market after we vote leave… The idea that our trade will suffer because we stop imposing terrible rules such as the Clinical Trial Directive is silly.” Vote Leave The union with Scotland will be stronger than ever “If we vote to leave then I think the union will be stronger… I think when we vote to leave it will be clear that having voted to leave one union the last thing people in Scotland wanted to do is to break up another.” — Michael Gove No controls on the Northern Irish land border with the EU “There will be no change to the border between Northern Ireland and the Republic.” — Michael Gove, Boris Johnson, Priti Patel and Gisela Stuart Scrapping VAT on fuel bills “In 1993, VAT on household energy bills was imposed… When we Vote Leave, we will be able to scrap this unfair and damaging tax.” — Boris Johnson, Michael Gove, and Gisela Stuart More money for kids from the tooth fairy "the amount left under the pillow will rise to £20" - Jacob Rees-Mogg the last one is actually a fairy story, as were the others.....though not made up by me but actually made by habitual liars, as listed

All the reporting quite clearly says this is worse for BOTH sides, so not exactly debunked. I am apolitical while at work. I’m not at work.

I haven't been following the news over here but I can promise you one thing, Norway will not do Britain any favours if it impacts negatively on Norway. The UK is a very important trading partner but Norway is in a far stronger negotiating position. Yes, Norwegians are aware that Britain helped to liberate their land from German occupation and are very grateful but business is business. Lucan, I hope you get that tooth filled soon, you're coming across as a bitter little englander recently. 😉 [Post edited 5 Jun 2021 8:16]

Little Englander? Wow. You know absolutely nothing about me Noggin. For the record....I remain totally anti Brexit but god forbid that I comment on a pathetic post. I wish we were still part of the EU but as a member I would want to reform that absolute gravy train, because that is what it is. In my opinion The EU is not what it set out to be, it is a monster. So, I completely understand why some people wanted to get out and I can actually appreciate that in 10 years time UK might benefit. At present we have plans to ban imports of fur, I believe we were the first EU country to ban fur farms but we still import it and do whatever with it and sell it on, now we are looking to ban imports, we couldn't have done that as a EU member. Same goes for transporting live animals for slaughter. You also have to question whether a country like Greece should have any input in UK affairs in trade, they are miles away with a different climate but UK might be restricted from buying olive oil from Australia because Greece voted against olive oil imports from there. Can you not see that it is a very complicated matter. Whilst I may not be the brain of Britain I do still have a brain of sorts, if you or others are happy to read and accept posts that are written like that of a 5 year old then I suppose it's up to you. Maybe I should give up, join the big boys and spend my time following the likes of Paz around and poking him like a demented silly bollox with an inadequate cock As it happens, I frequent another board very regularly, non football. But heres's the thing, it is the complete opposite of TW4TD inasmuch that it is full of fairly right wing folk and has a fairly right wing moderator. When I say right wing I don't mean Adolf types but it is a business forum and economically right wing. On there I challenge any political posts as much as I do on here and they all label me as a left wing fairy. It's not about left or right, it's about accurate and non biased reporting. Basically, whatever I do and wherever I am I like to see fairness and I will always will stick up for the people in the minority or who aren't being listened to, but most of all I question everything.

Good post, although I wasn't talking about your views on the EU as such. You jumped on me yesterday for daring to criticise the British state. Today you jump on the OP for daring to question the new trade deal with Norway. Maybe I'm wrong but I've never noticed that tetchy side of you before recent days. Anyway, hope the tooth is soon better.

I have been tetchy, I admit that. I'm just a bit worn out by endless sh1t. As for you, you're ok, like most of us you are just getting on with life. You have seen things, you've been in the military for years and you have done what most of us only dream of in moving country, most of us dread even moving house. You are now looking at travelling the world in a camper van. Fair play to you, you have done and are planning to do things that I wish I had done. All credit to you. I still though reserve my right to voice my opinion, I'm sure you can understand where I am coming from. I won't reply to Koonts nasty message, I thought he was my friend. Edit; I think Koont was referring to Paz and not me. I think Koont might be my friend again [Post edited 5 Jun 2021 12:50]

To be fair, my move to Norway had nothing to do with being brave. I was living in London and banging far too much gear, was in danger of losing my job and with it my sanity. Met a Norwegian woman in the pub before Gillingham away and moved here after meeting her 3 times. I wasn't in a good place mentally and of course the relationship didn't work but by the time we broke up we had a daughter and so I had to stay. Norway is a great place to work and bring up kids but I can't wait to get out. I don't like the direction the UK is moving politically so I doubt I'll return and so I need to start looking for a new country to call home. Anyway, you're a good lad Lucan and I have no ill feeling towards you. Have a good weekend. [Post edited 5 Jun 2021 13:11]

Similar thing happened to my mate Frankie McCauslin, what a lad he was! Ended up moving to Denmark once he met an absolute drop dead stunner who he claimed could suck an orange through a hose pipe [Post edited 5 Jun 2021 13:12]
