I think it is more a case of 'steady as she goes'.
Too many have spent beyond their means and are now wallowing around the lower part of the CHs, or in L1 with us.
The PL can be a bit of a poisoned chalice if you are not one of the top eight.

They did that with Rip van Wolfswinkel a few promotions ago and it didn't work out.
Very surprised they are loaning an inexperienced promising player - they will do all the developing in their relegation season and Chelsea will reap the benefits. I suppose they will be hoping he will make all the difference to keeping them up.
