You say that, but there is one England manager with a 100% record.

Let's be honest here though, he has had the two easiest routes to those semi finals ever.

I'm not knocking him, merely pointing out how lucky we have got with the fixtures.

We won our group and put Germany out. We haven't conceded yet. We've earned these "easy games"

France got lucky with getting Switzerland but couldn't beat them.

You could argue Sir Bob's England team got luck in 88 with their group of Russia, Holland and ROI but lost all 3

We won our group we can only face and beat what's in front of us.

We haven’t even got that lucky. Knockout opponents for the SF’s:

Italy: Austria & Belgium
Spain: Croatia & Switzerland
England: Germany & Ukraine
Denmark: Wales & Czech Republic

Only Italy can claim to have had a harder route, and even that’s debatable

It's debatable. Does Southgate's 1 WC Semi and 1 Euro Semi count for more than Sir Bobby's 1 WC Semi and 1 WC Quarter Final?

Obviously it's not like comparing the FA Cup and Milk Cup, but the World Cup surely counts for more than the Euros.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, if you find objecting to bigotry 'political' the problem isn't the objecting to bigotry, it's your politics.

Racists missing out on good performances because of their inherent racism just makes the win that little bit better though. Desperately looking to pick holes on the other hand...

Why aren't you enjoying the win instead of starting a political thread. Simple question.

I'd say this Euros does equal a WC semi as before you'd only have to win one knockout game to get to the semi's
In 96 we only had to get out of the group and beat Spain.
And in the WC there are less European teams some of which are far better than some sides from other continents.

Eh? I'm merely asking why im being told to enjoy a victory when said poster is posting politics on the back of the win. I actually think England have been lucky in the last two tournaments with our routes to the semis. That doesn't mean im anti Southgate at all but just think we have got lucky. Finally... Put me on ignore.

Why have we been lucky I don't understand?

Were France lucky or unlucky then losing to Switzerland

Were England lucky or unlucky when they lost to Iceland last time

I genuinely don't understand?

You could say England's worst result has been against the weakest team they've played

I don't think you understand tournament football
