Don't like to use this forum to vent out negative stuff - but been really hacked off with work today. Anyone have any particular ways of getting their head clear of this sort of stuff

I've had a doolally day today and I should have devoted an hour this evening to clearing four days of washing up...but I've watched two episodes of 'Baptisite' on the iPlayer and feel better for it.

There’s a good app called headspace. Helps me when I want to murder my boss, which is Daily
Will check that one out. Have heard of Headspace being good.
As others have said, exercise (EDIT: and fresh air) are good. So is perspective. Take a step back, consider what is really important to you and where those things at work fit within that.
Then, if all of those things do not help, contact your doctor and get signed off. Looking after your mental health is important. Never ignore it if you know things have really got on top of you.

Is that the web site that shows babies being baptised?
Just one small problem; sell their houses to who, Ben? Fcking Aquaman?
I often have a listen to Cassandra Jenkins when I need to chill - heard this on 6Music tonight driving through the Suffolk countryside after a hard 25 mile TT...

A 5,000-step walk normally does the trick for me. Stick on the headphones and forget about your troubles. Until the morning at least…
I took you advice and set off at a nice brisk pace, hit the 2,500 step mark and turned around. Got a bit tired on the way back and must have shortened my stride length a bit, so now I'm stuck 150 yards down the road from home, tired, pissed off and right next to a really smelly dog turd. So I guess I have to stay here until the morning? Thanks very much for your advice.

It was good advice.
When you wake in the morning you will never have appreciated the comfort of your own home as much as you do then.
Yeas ago, someone posted on here about imagining a black ball in your brain that contains all your negativity and worry and then picture it slowly moving out of your head and travelling down your body and through your arm until it's outside of your body.
I still use an adapted form of that today. I imagine I pop an open ball in my head that sucks all of the anger, negativity and worry out of my brain. I then picture this ball closing and popping out of my head. I then throw it and picture it going deep into space before exploding like a firework. Sometimes do this 3-4 times if it's something big I want to forget or not think about.
