I’m sorry but that is a disaster… it felt a must win; and 2-0 up and groundâ 18:28 - Aug 28 with 2618 views | unstableblue | … rocking.. keep it at that, or win 3-0, then it’s a platform for real progress. It’s a big dent in the project for me. You can’t keep putting off taking the initiative. Now our confidence is shot to pieces. And to allow the weakest team we’ve played those set pieces chances and that possession second half is a not acceptable. We make getting 3 points from Wycombe and Bolton very very hard. There were plenty of positives in the performances from KVY, Burns, Coulsen, Burgess, and moments from others. Evans is struggling (despite one pivotal moment) Harper is looking a bit headless, keeper worries me. There is no easy game in this league, but that was the easiest of our recent players. The good news is Morecombe showed Sheff Weds that it’s easy for no one. And we re less points off second than we were. BUT Aluko selection worries me. Dobra would have added more.

I’m sorry but that is a disaster… it felt a must win; and 2-0 up and ground on 19:27 - Aug 28 with 2407 views | N2_Blue | Hate to say I agree. I was prepared to give Cook time because a new team was going to need it. However we seem to be going backwards rather than progressing. Throwing a 2-0 lead away at home to Wimbledon is unforgivable and any decent manager would set up a team not to even give a chance of that happening. I think Cook has been a good manager but his time at Town with different personnel around him is making me think it’s not going to work for him here. His decision making and tactical changes are not of a savvy clued up manager currently. Either he needs to bring in some one alongside him and see some progress in next two games or I think a change of management will need to be made. I was so behind Paul Cook, but he looks as lost and out of his depth at our club Hladky does. [Post edited 28 Aug 2021 19:35]

I know it’s pointless replying to you so don’t know why I’m bothering but care to actually post something of substance and indicate why I’m ‘bedwetting’ and give me reason to still have faith in PC. I genuinely interested if you can be bothered and take the effort to actually post a reasoned response rather than you pointless previous effort.

I found this sub very strange. Aluko is clearly not fit (doesn’t make it look Good for a Jackson) we went 4141 last game with Carroll to sure up midfield but not today? Cook needs tactical help

Agree. A bad run of results can happen to any manager but on the back of last season as well in this season it is the poor tactical decisions that are rather baffling and concern me as much as the results currently. Cook really hasn’t shown anything as a manager here has he? And Ive always thought PC was a good manager so Im especially surprised and disappointed.

So posting a reply about me getting annoyed about fans bedwetting because we hadn’t signed anyone when it was obvious we going to make signings and consequently did is related to this in what way? This is about Cooks performance as manager and tactically showing nothing that gives me confidence in him. So I’m not sure what you are trying to prove. It takes a certain type of poster to trawl through someone’s posts to make a point, but at least if you are going to do that make it a valid point.

I agree, apart from the bit about bringing in somebody to help. He has chosen the coaches he wants and it’s his team. He owns this disastrous start. His team is as soft as it’s possible to be and they are not improving. He looks and sounds lost. Two games to see some progress or he’s got to go. We don’t have time to waste. It’s so disappointing. I had high hopes, given his track record.

We just continue to shoot ourselves in the foot, it's so predicable and painful to watch. We are so fragile mentally, concede almost straight away after going 2-0 and panic mode sets in. We tired so badly after the hour mark, Burns, Fraser, Harper looked shot - I don't understand why we are on pre season mode 5 games in - its not good enough First half we looked rushed and forced our passes, even before the goals in the second half we looked calmer and more patient. Aluko pressed with the intensity of a paralysed tortoise. Positives were Coulson, Burns and Wolfenden **** day all round. My mate dislocates his knee entering the ground, the players taking the knee is audibly booed in the lower SBR and we threw it away - again.

Me too, so so disappointing. Fingers crossed a good couple of results in the next two games give everyone a shot of confidence but I think today was really damaging for morale and I just don’t see it. Away to Wycombe I can see them bullying us all over the park, not a good game for us at the moment.

Today was a make or break, sadly. Well, we’ve had five relatively easy games so tough ones are bound to follow. Wycombe? Maybe a result there will be the boost we need, but I just cannot see it. If Wycombe go for it, the game could be put to bed pretty early.

I usually agree with you, but sorry, it wasn't "make or break", nor was it a "disaster". We were literally just a few seconds away from winning, and I'm pretty sure the tone would then have been completely different!

We shall agree to differ 😃. We were a few seconds from winning today and a few seconds from losing five games ago. Five games, zero wins against mediocre opposition who are also just starting the season, ‘gelling’ etc. I had high hopes with the players he was bringing in (despite not knowing anything about them!!) and Cook’s track record. I guess I’m just very disappointed. I’ll probably have a more balanced/sane view of it next week.

Of course, but how long can we rely on the "what if's"? What if Penney didn't play that hospital ball which Woolfenden then miscontrolled? What if Fraser had scored that penalty? What if Evans hadn't given the ball away so easily against MK Dons? What if Hladky had held on today? But things happened and because of a deeper malaise than the simple factor of individual mistakes.

Now being told to grown up for a reasoned post, you can disagree that’s fine but why do I need to grow up. It’s an opinion and am I wrong to be concerned? This forum is really deteriorating, such a shame.
