Nuno sacked.

Their whole managerial recruitment over the summer was a shambles. Nuno looked like their 8th or 9th choice so he was never really going to stand a chance with their fan base. I feel sorry for him, although the pay off will soften the blow, but he genuinely appears a nice guy but with Spurs getting rid of him it won't alleviate their problems as they lie higher up IMO.

....going to accept this time round.

I'll give it 8 or 9 months for him to realise their ambitions do not match his.

The sacking season has started. Barnsley have done likewise. MM could be Barnsley bound.

Antonio Conte seems strongly linked this morning

They’ve lost 5 of their last 7 in the league, and the wheels have firmly flown off after an encouraging couple of games

One may look at the table and think that it’s harsh with Spurs still in the top half and within touching distance of the CL places. Another view would be that acting now prevents that gap widening and the rot truly stepping in

I think Spurs deserve criticism for the appointment in the first place, their Summer search was a shambles and it was obvious that Santo was well down the list and a reluctant appointment. I certainly don’t blame them for acting quickly though, and one would have to hazard a guess that a successor is lined up this time, potentially jumping ahead of other teams that may shortly be looking for a manager shortly too

EDIT: just seen posts above re Conte which was exactly my thinking, given that he’ll be very high on the list of a certain Manchester club one would have to assume

Spurs should be doing a lot better, but Nuno was set up to fail. Always out of his depth and was always going to be difficult to win over the fans.

Did they not sign Mourinho because they thought Arsenal were in for him?

Farke off to Barnsley and MicMac to Nodge would be interesting...especially next season.

He is already at one. But he might be able to get his mojo back at an even smaller one.

Cook will never manage in the Premier League unless it’s as a caretaker. Way above his pay grade. You need more than one game plan and a few mates to achieve real success in football.

I don't think Farke will get sacked, expectation levels at Spurs and Norwich very different

I have to say, I think that Spurs have helped themselves this time - Nuno was out of his depth in this role. You could see he was desperate and erratic with his game management toward the end.

Seen a lot of Spurs fans moaning about Nuno's defensive tactics, is Conte going to set them up any differently?

Unless the locals get too restless, I doubt they'll sack Farke - he's doing what the owners of Norwich want, and that is to yo-yo.
