Can't quite put my finger on it, have feelings that he is todays Megson/Pardew.
Obviously he has done a reasonable job at Lincoln, but take away the decent loanees they had from last season, then they are where they I would expect them to be.
Morgan Rogers was levels above everyone in this league last season and they have lost that sparkle.

He’s not ripping up trees this season is he, but has a decent enough reputation;. Not sure how much better than Cook he would be. It clearly needs to be someone to fit the new management system - a coach rather than a manager. |  |

I think he's a good manager who could quite easily manage in the Championship, he sets his teams up well, he utilises what he has and has generally overperformed in last few jobs after a tricky start.
But his stock is quite low at the moment, and whilst it felt a slam dunk he would be appointed at any time over the last few months now push has come to shove the timing just doesn't feel right.
I think realistically we aren't going to be appointing manager with as impressive a track record as Cook had, because very few exist, but the appointment is going to be a much better fit for our new structure. |  |

Me neither, he seems to have had a very high reputation for a while without really doing a lot. That maybe a bit harsh as most of the jobs he took early in his career were veritable basket cases and he has since taken Oxford up from Div 4 and done ok at Lincoln, but doesn’t strike me that he’s really pulled up trees anywhere. Perhaps I’m missing something |  |
