3-4 weeks would be quick from my experience, depending on the severity of the damage. Ankle ligaments can be an arse, and then the time 'on the grass' to get up to speed on top of that. I wouldn't be surprised if he's out for the rest of the season. Maybe a heroic return off the bench at Wembley to nut in the winner? |  |

Better than it could have been. I don’t think we’ll be massively weakened with the left-footed Burgess coming in. Though clearly the current back 3 plus Walton have been a real collective force so hopefully we can keep that confidence and communication going with a new player. |  |

ankles are a horrible one, i personally think thats his season done.

Yep. Plus Donacien looking born to the role too. Actually, it’s been Edmundson who has looked the least comfortable and not the same standout defender he was in a CB pairing.
Bodes well for Burgess coming in who could well be more naturally comfortable as LCB. Plus Thompson has now settled well, certainly from a defensive perspective, so there’s strong support around Burgess. | |
