Pope off to Newcastle (Nick that is!) on 07:23 - Jun 23 by J2BLUE
Sky offering 2.88 Bet 365 offering 3.25
I think this is one they will all be super cautious on.
In all honestly I hadn’t even bothered looking to see if it had already been priced up but that’s definitely no bet at those prices. Shame really as I do fancy them to have a big season. 15/8 and 9/4 is incredibly skinny though.

Anything around 9/2 for top 6 and I’d play.

I was gonna offer you the price but seen I can lay it at 5/2 on the machine (which seems absolutely nuts to me, think they are leagues behind the current top 6 (who are all going to improve this summer too)).

Would’ve expected it bigger than 5/2 on the machine. Much liquidity in the market at this stage?
I think it’s any two from them, Arsenal, United, Wolves, Leicester and West Ham. And I think the latter three will find it tougher than recent years with the smaller squads and tougher schedule of World Cup football straight into the Christmas games.
Whereas Newcastle finished the season as a top 6 side in the last 3 months of the year and the energy at St James’ is crucial. Saw a stat that said they’d won 9 of the 11 home games Howe had for the league their. If he can get them rolling early doors, I think they will be bang in the race. Couldn’t back Man United at long-odds on with counterfeit. Think they’re the worst of any of the big clubs for years. Awful team. Ronaldos goals is the only way they’ve a sniff of being in Europe.

No worse than Pickford.
That’s not saying much. Pickford is a liability. That he’s an international shows just how poor English keepers are - those that get a game in the PL. pope is ok, but nothing special.
I might be biased, but Walton is just as good as those two, in my view.

Of course he is. When has Pickford been a liability for England?

People say this about Pickford again and again, but he’s never made a terrible rick for England in a big game. Played in a final, semi finals.
In the spirit of reconciliation and happiness at the end of the Banter Era (RIP) and as a result of promotion I have cleared out my ignore list. Look forwards to reading your posts!

I’m probably being a bit harsh on him, but he always looks shaky to me, despite being a good shot stopper.
Both Pickford and Ramsdale are too frenetic and make the most basic things look really difficult. Pope might not be amazing, but he’s very decent and consistent in my view without the need to look spectacular.
