Not really a day for footy news but 22:44 - Jul 6 with 1234 views | Illinoisblue | Chelsea signing Sterling for 45milion seems like really good value. Proven prem player and proven at international player. I’m sure his wages won’t be cheap but the fee seems like a bargain

He didn't have a very good season at City last season so probably the best move for him. Keep fit and don't lose the pace and probably another 4 years in him at the top.

He has a good season, he was under utilised a little but when he played he delivered. Pepe roulette was on overtime last year

This was what shocked me the most as well. I couldn't believe he was still only 27! £45m for a proven top class England international who's at a peak age seems like great business from Chelsea.

Surely it a release clause that has been activated isn't it? As everyone has said, £45m is stunning business. Surprised at Sterling given his run ins with Chelsea fans concerning racism but still great business.

His pace and movement will always be his trump card, I have to admit to not really liking him when he's on the ball though.

Not really a day for footy news but on 09:37 - Jul 7 with 727 views | Radlett_blue | I'm surprised people think £45m is good business for a 27 year old whose career now seems slightly on the wane. While City have one of the strongest squads in the world, he was regularly only on the bench for their biggest games. He will also be on very high wages. If he becomes a main man at Chelsea, it might re-ignite his career as he clearly has talent.

Not really a day for footy news but on 09:56 - Jul 7 with 683 views | DMDC | Sterling seems to have reinvented himself over the last few years. He left Liverpool for pure greed at the time and was certainly disliked by most Liverpool supporters that l know for the way he went about it. He has been quite controversial in the past over certain aspects in his life. He seems to have turned that all around over the last few years for the positive. But theres something about the guy that l cant really warm to.

On the wane? give over He's coming into peak period for players ans has had 4 consistently good seasons at Man C. They wanted to keep him but he doesn't want to play the rotation game. It's an amicable move between all parties and they are accepting 45 mil as he is in the last year of his contract

I cannot stand him, not sure why but he is one of a few players who really grates me.
