I’m convinced Jackson running the right channel is his best position, such good supply
I’m not sure Chaplin can play left, but you can’t leave the guy out
Ball ain’t going to be happy at not starting, but Evans distribution is better, and we have 3 centre backs and Wolf to also mop up
Switching Jackson for Ladapo and playing Chaplin and Edwards behind him also excites.
KVY perhaps for Leigh is another thought.

I'd like to see Ball fit in there somewhere.
It's encouraging that we have real strength in depth. We've always had numbers but to have someone come off the bench and the opposition realise that the sub is better than who he replaced has been a long time coming. |  |

Thought Tuesday night was more a 4-2-3-1 than 3-5-2, although likely to be a hybrid between the two for most of the season. Certainly think there will be a great emphasis on getting bodies forward this year as we know we’re fairly solid at the back.
Think our current best team is the one that started, with the exception of Fridge in for Burgess and Leigh in for MP. |  | | |

We have an OK back up keeper.
Burgess provides cover in defence along with other options (including ultimately Baggott).
KVY provides an option on either wing back with the possibility of Edwards/Penney on the left too.
Ball may well play ahead of Evans. Have we got proper cover for Morsy though?
Aluko and John-Jules give cover in attack but do we have enough firepower overall? It is where we lacked last season and I think we need a top goalscorer in there still.
Overall, though, yes quality over quantity is what we need. |  |

I agree but if we are playing a back 3 (not guaranteed this season) do you also need a Ball type player? Against League One opposition.. Evans can score but his range of passing is better
But to be honest we need ball challenging Evans and Morsy and being back up to them… I am much less worried about Morsy suspension or injury with ball in the building | |

I’m personally utterly baffled as to why anyone who has watched us for the last 4 seasons would pick Kaydon Jackson as a first team player in our strongest 11…..?!
Maybe I’m not buoyed by the 3 reasonable games he played this season to get to the stage of self defecating over 3 out of about 70 games…?
