It's a new era for Man U...

...it looks an awful lot like the last three or four new eras, but still.

2-0 what a good manager Potter is, saying that I expect Utd win win it in injury time.

Looking like a good start for ten Haag. Their defence is all over the place. Brighton looking good for their lead. An important team talk for both managers now.

First game I get that. But I can't believe how static that utd front line are. Well I say front line. Anyone ahead of the defence.

Yeah I am sure they will improve but their fans are going to need to give him some serious time. Their recruitment has been all over the place for a decade and it shows.

As Westover said, Potter deserves a lot of credit for what he's done at Brighton, they play some really smart football.

You have to hand it to Brighton football club 5 years ago in the championship now 5 years on beating Man U at half time convincingly 2-0 away at Old Trafford credit to them and i think their manager has to be ear marked to take over from Southgate as England manager.

McKenna coaching this lot to 2nd in the league looks genuinely miraculous right now. Shambles of a 45mins from Utd.

Brighton look excellent, could do some serious damage this season if they can be clinical.

They only just survived as a club in the late 90s and nearly relegated to non-league football. Good for them.

Plus they have 60 million to spend now.

They’ve been so obsessed with de Jong they haven’t looked at what else to do with midfield. How could they think McTominay and Fred were good enough to be first choice heading into the season?

They've not signed anyone apparently this window. Good on em.

God they keep banging on about Ronaldo. He's played 45 minutes of football in 2 months.

Erm.. can someone explain why VAR weren't able to give that pen? Or did they feel it wasn't a pen and agreed with the ref?

As discussed elsewhere, it appears to now need to be a complete howler. I'm not unhappy with that as i'm against VAR for subjective decisions.

I stopped watching the premier league last season, and one of the main reasons was that there were too many penalties and I felt players were looking to get penalties rather than score goals.
