…this is a day of great significance for many people.
Many, many people admired and respected The Queen and are feeling a huge sense of loss and sadness.
Today, more than any other day, is a chance for this community to show that it doesn’t always have to be divisive, argumentative and deliberately provocative.
Whilst today is a day of little or no significance for some, it would be refreshing and positive to not see posts aimed purely at winding up other users, to not see aggressive, abusive responses to each other and to not see carefully framed comments that obviously are designed to provoke.
My old Mum wasn’t alone in saying “if you can’t say anything nice, don’t say anything at all”……I for one will be sticking to that for today at the very least.
It’s just one day.

I'm a soft republican, (if that is even possible) and i've been switching between Smithsonian and the pomp, as i'm interested in volcanology. Must agree that we do ceremony like no other.
